London holiday apartment: London

We chose this apartment for a friend's birthday break and wanted something extravagant right in the city centre and this place was just perfect

We wanted to play tourists in London even though we're all from the suburbs and Surrey, and so many apartments we read about were out in the sticks but this one is literally opposite Tate Modern and around the corner from St Paul's Cathedral so we chose well

The lady who showed us around was really friendly and the flat was absolutely immaculate - it looks brand new and has all the mod cons including 2 designer bathrooms. We also really liked that they'd left washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs and stuff you never remember to bring, including a welcome pack with breakfast basics so we didn't need to race out on arrival to go shopping.

The views are simply breathtaking across the river to the Tate and Globe and she showed us the roof terrace too which we used a couple of times where you could see the whole city

It was brilliant being able to walk home after a night out in town, and we did all the tourist sights including climbing to the top of St Paul's, which we'd highly recommend. Mind you, it was nice to come home two minutes later and collapse after all those stairs!

Perhaps our best memories were sitting in the posh lounge at night with the windows open watching the boats go by and hearing visitors on the riverbank. We really felt like we were playing the millionaire lifestyle for a few days - coming home has never felt so hard! We're already trying to think of upcoming celebrations so we can go back and stay again. Huge thank you to the owners.

We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. It is clean, bright, and nicely furnished. The refurbishment mentioned in the listing gives the apartment a brand new feeling. The apartment building is very quiet. We noticed no noise from adjoining apartments. We enjoyed the apartment's southern exposure and nice breezes and the sights and sounds of the river. The apartment is very conveniently located. The surrounding area very much has the feeling of a downtown area. Lots of business professionals making their way to and from work. A quick bus, tube or river boat ride connects you with all of London. Coming and going from the apartment, we spent quite a bit of time around St. Paul’s. We bought ready to eat food at the Marks & Spencer’s Simply Food and there are several nice restaurants located there as well. A London information center was also conveniently located nearby. Matthew was a pleasure to deal with and the listing description was accurate in all respects. We would recommend this apartment without hesitation.
