Ovacik is approx twenty mins walk to the lively town of Hisaronu. Here there are many bars, restaurants and shops. You can reach both Olu Deniz and Fethiye by dolmus or taxi in ten mins. See the famous Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz or visit the bustling market at Fethiye. The nearby village of Kayakoy (ghost village) is well worth a visit or you can visit Saklikent gorge, go on a jeep safari or try paragliding from 6000 feet to see a wonderful view of Olu Deniz. There are many bargains to be had in the shops or the markets and all areas offer a wide range of cuisines with great value for money. Fethiye harbour offers wonderful boat trips where you can snorkel in the warm waters and admire the beautiful scenery or take a day trip to Rhodes. Although a bit if a journey(3 hours) Pamukkale is worth visiting. Here you can see the calcified salt hills and bathe in Cleopatra's bath. There are also many other activities available ie rafting, scuba diving, microlighting,fishing and many more.
