Cambrils was once a small fishing village, in the middle of the town centre is a large indoor fish market, where an amazing selection of fish is brought in daily from the local port in the old town there are several highly regarded seafood restaurants. Cambrills has become a vibrant tourist resort whilst maintaining its cultural charm. It provides a balance for those holiday makers who like a mix of tourist facilities i.e good hotels, beach, shops, bars and restaurants,with a strong local culture.
Cambrils is well known for its sea food you should take the opportunity to sample the cuisine at one of the wonderful restaurants. If you prefer, there are plenty of pizzas, chips, Chinese food on offer depending on your taste and budget.
You will find plenty of sport and leisure activities available in and around the resort, you may like to hire a bike in the town and take off for a cycle ride; it is worth calling at the local tourist information office who can advise and recommend interesting routes
If you are looking for a fun filled family day out you may want to visit Port Aventura theme park and take in all the rides, attractions and entertainment on offer. It should keep everyone happy and occupied the whole day through. The resort is well situated for many interesting excursions and trips; the historic city of Terragon is worth a visit with plenty of ancient buildings and monuments.
Nightlife here is fairly low key compared to its neighbour Salou, you can enjoy a relaxing meal with a bottle of wine at one of the colourful restaurants, and some have live music and the occasional Flamenco dance. Another attraction is the local summer fiestas which take place in June, July and August

The resort of Cambrils merges with its niegbour Salou (better known for its night life) and is ideal for sun lovers and families alike, there are miles of soft sands where you can relax all day. The biggest beach is the Regueral and it is the most popular, sun loungers and shades are available and there are bars/restaurants for food and refreshments.
Golf:
There are four golf courses in the area, the costa dorada golf club which includes one of the longest holes in Spain. It covers some 136 acres, with numerous doglegs and hilltop tee shots offering magnificent views over the course and the sea.
Aiguesverdes golf club Situated near Reus and five minutes from Salou and Cambrills, this course lies in countryside characterized by olive and almond trees.
The Bonmont is up there amongst the top courses in Catalonia. The practice facilities at Bonmont are superb, only 60 minutes south from Barcelona airport, The course has wonderful views over the Mediterranean, and a spectacular mountain backdrops.
PortAventura Golf Course the North Course has been designed by Greg Norman and considered to be the championship course.
