There is a nice view of the Thames Valley when viewed from neighbouring areas such such Coombe Wood and Westley Height. Close to Southend which has modernized beaches, night clubs and pubs, restaurants, shops and market, the district prides itself in a newly multi-built cinema situated between Basildon and Laindon. The Town centre at Basildon is the heart of all shops in the district. Laindon is five minutes drive (car) from Laindon, three minutes on on train and less than 15 minutes by foot. Its historical Library, Churches, Schools and above all a nice view of Hills compounds the beauty of a nice holiday.
