This apartment is located in one of the Algarve's nicest resort towns, close to natural parks and all touristic attractions, as well as being only 15 minutes away from Spain. It is located in the centre of Monte Gordo, only 5 minutes walk from the beach and close to everything you may need: cafes, restaurants, casino, chemist, supermarket, ATM, etc.. The apartment sleeps up to 6 people and comes fully equipped. It is very spacious and comfortable as well as bright and full of character. It benefits from traditional Mediterranean features like red ceramic floors and two big balconies with sunny sitting areas. The apartment has one bedroom with its own private balcony, one toilet, a living area that includes a kitchen and a dining area. The living area has two double sofa-beds and leads onto another big, sunny balcony with table and chairs.

The flat is in the lovely resort town of Monte Gordo, only a 5 min walk from the beach in a beautiful sandy bay. Monte Gordo is next to the border with Spain, close to Ria Formosa Park and the Guadiana Estuary Park. It is also convenient to visit old quaint traditional towns like Tavira, Caçela Velha and Vila Real de St António or the Moorish town of Mértola. Monte Gordo is a lively resort with a Casino as well as many restaurants, bars, terraces and shops. All water sports are available and also, countryside safaris, river cruises, excursions etc. It is easily accessible by motorway and only half an hour from Faro airport and two and a half hours from Lisbon.

My wife and our two grandchildren had a lovely time at this flat last week. The weather was great, so we spent most days on the beach. The kids loved it. The beach is long, really clean, safe and the water was warm, even at this time of year. Lots of restaurants, ice cream places cafes etc. We hired a car and drove into Spain a couple of times and went to Faro and the surrounding nature reserve - lovely!

The flat itself has everything you could want for a short stay. It's bright and spacious and has two lovely balconies - it was so nice to have breakfast there some days. Although the flat only has one bedroom, there was ample room - in fact the kids loved sleeping on the sofabeds!

The owner was there to welcome us and was charm itself. He couldn't do enough to help.

We would thoroughly recommend staying here and hope to go back for some winter sunshine early next year!
