The house was built on the slopes above Vila Franca with a stunning view overlooking the Atlantic and with total privacy. Area fenced in with electrically operated wrought iron gate. The building style is rustic with details from marbles, natural stone and tiles. Patio with stone table and benches under a pergola, outside the kitchen. Large outside terrace south/west with charcoal grill, 7,000 sq.m. garden , mainly avocado pears. Master bedroom with access to the terrace. Two guest rooms with common toilet and bath room for the 2, downstairs. Separate garage with large windows which can be used as a study. An adjoining 2 bed room guest house can be combined .

This cottage is located on the slope behind the main house. It has a beautiful view over the ocean and is surrounded by a garden. You step into a large living room with a well equipped kitchenette behind a double arch. Floors are tiled or natural stone. 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. One bathroom for the two bedrooms. Also a duplex room with its own bathroom. Can be used as a study or extra bedroom. Open fireplace in the living room. Patio outside the entrance with a separate grill.

Vila Franca is the old capital with ancient beautiful buildings. The infrastructure is good with super markets, hospital, restaurants etc. Beaches of various sizes incl. one child safe in the middle of Vila Franca. No dangerous currents along the coast. V.F. has got a micro climate, warmer and more sunny than the rest of the island. V.F.is strategically placed on the south coast on the middle of the island, with its overwhelming nature all around it. In the summer, a shuttle commutes to the volcano tip 1/2 mile outside V.F. where you can have a swim in the lagoon. An Aqua Park with various slides and cafeterias is a youth entertainment. Whale and dolphin safaris can be hired from the well built up Yachting Marina. Regular and cheap bus connections to the rest of the island.

Every reservation must be accompanied by a minimum payment of 30% of the set price ( not refundable), which must be received within 8 days of the reservation. •The complete payment must be settled 30 days before your arrival in São Miguel. No extra charge if staying one more person. Cleaning service, after having checked out, is included in the price. Sorry No Animals. Strictly no smoking indoors.
  • Bookings for 2010 done before end of 2009 will be reduced with 10% of the rent.
    If staying more than one week you will get 20% reduction of the rent for the following week/weeks
    Long term rentals are possible. Contact the owner to agree on the cost of renting for longer periods.

These courses are never crowded and you can enjoy a relaxed game of golf. Normally you don't need to book tee time. You reach both golf courses within 30 minutes drive from Vila Franca.
