Rose Cottage is an old stone cottage set in a large safe garden. There are two bedrooms, the larger one has a queen size double bed the smaller can be either a single or a double. There are two Z beds and a cot. Linen is provided. The sitting room is comfortably furnished with an open fire. The sun room over looking the valley has the dining table and other chair. The bathroom and kitchen are modern extensions with excellent facilities. Walking the Cheviot Hills from the front door or golf, fish, hire a cycle or go horse riding close by. Go bird watching at Lindisfarne Reserve or the Farne Islands. Kielder Reservoir the largest lake in England is 20 miles away. The cottage is close to the Scottish Border, Edinburgh, Newcastle and the Roman wall are a days trip. The cottage is comfortable and well furnished with family books and pictures and used by the family as a second home.

Rose Cottage is an old stone cottage lying amid farmland 400 feet above sea level, with superb views over the Glendale Valley. It is situated in the tiny hamlet of High Humbleton, right on the edge of the National Park, with the Cheviot Hills rising behind. The small country town of Wooler is one mile away with excellent food and craft shops, restaurants and cafes. There is a large safe garden with off road parking. An open fire and good heating makes the cottage an ideal break in autumn or spring. It is 12 miles from the beautiful Northumberland coast line, with Holy Island and Bamburgh castles. golf, bird watching, fishing, horse riding close by. The Scottish Border is just 11 miles away with the spectacular Tweed Valley beyond. Edinburgh, Newcastle and the Roman Wall are just a day trip away. The cottage is available between April1st and October 31st and sleeps 4 with extra beds and a cot.
