A well-equipped ground floor apartment with private patio/ terrace overlooking the black sea in Gardenia Resort, Sozopol.Gardenia is situated in, Budjaka District, close to the beautiful Kavatzite beach & the ancient town of Sozopol. Gardenia's guests have access to a large swimming pool and children's pool, restaurant, open bar with barbeque, gym & sauna, free sun beds. All set in beautiful grounds containing just 24 individual apartments with 24hr security. Covered parking lot available for use. The apartment offers 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) , fully-equipped kitchen, large lounge/dining area (with double & single bed settees) & wall to wall windows leading to private terrace overlooking the garden, sea and beach, a bathroom with WC, bath & shower. TV, Internet access & Air conditioning. Gardenia Resort is situated 2km south of Sozopol. It is close by the beautiful Kavatzite Beach (Blue-Flag). Sozopol is an ancient fishing port with roots that go back to the Ancient Greeks.

The accommodation is of a very high standard in a beautiful location with a lovely view and interesting animal and bird life all around. We enjoyed lovely sunny weather throughout our stay but the evenings/nights and early mornings were a little cool at this time of the year but the apartment was always cosy and warm at night.

The restaurants in Old Sozopol were far superior to anything we tried in New Sozopol and at a cost of approximately £20.00 for two people including drink it was great value for money. Strolling around the streets in Old Sozopol is also a fascinating and interesting pastime. Not many English tourists mainly Bulgarian and Russian and we had fun with the language as well! Bourgas - the town which you fly to is also a really nice place for a day out and the bus fare from Sozopol is just 4lv (£2) single.

There is a brand new supermarket not far away from the complex which has a lovely bakery, meat counter and deli within and most items are much cheaper than at home. We would definately recommend hiring a car for the duration of the holiday to explore the area and the dual carriageway and roads in general seemed of a high standard with just a few crazy drivers.

We will be returning to this interesting and pretty holiday resort.
