This spacious secluded recently renovated 4 bedroom detached house, a former goat farm, is on the edge of the Country Park but also within easy walking distance of the Old Town centre. Large gardens, large games room/ lounge/ TV room with opening French double doors upstairs with table tennis table, lounge / TV Room with natural open fire downstairs. Three bathrooms (incl. 1 en-suite), large fully-equipped open-plan kitchen with double French doors out to the garden. The large gardens are extremely secluded with some mature fruit trees. At night you can watch the badgers come for any food scraps you leave out for them. This property really is very unique, and ideal for anybody who wants a combination of the town and country seclusion. The house is fully equipped family home. Currently beds for 8 people - although this would certainly not be crowded. Car parking is normally available on the street, in front of the house.

This rustic holiday ex-farm house is located on the edge of the country park near cliffs, beaches and the Old Town centre. You can walk out of the gardens, and walk for miles along the cliffs to remote beaches without ever seeing a road. The historic Old Town centre is 1km down the hill, with its sprawling sea front and beaches. You can come back up the hill on the funicular railway. Battle Abbey, scene of the famous Battle of Hastings in 1066, is a few miles inland.

6 room detached house, near beaches, large gardens: Hastings, East Sussex is a fantastic place to spend an active week. The holiday house is located on the edge of Hastings Country Park. You can walk out of the gardens, and walk for miles along the cliffs to remote beaches without ever seeing a road. The kids will enjoy the vast outdoors spaces and the long cliff walks.

Hastings Old Town and local beaches: The historic Old Town centre is 1km down the hill, with its sprawling sea front and beaches. From there, you can walk along the coast to other remote beaches, go pier and jetty fishing, or simply beachcomb among the boats of the fishing fleet. My favourite beach is at Fairlight Glen - a fantastic walk through the Country Park. It's a nudist beach, so be warned - but nudity is not compulsory. There's a little funfair on the seafront which is ideal for pre-teens, and a cute little seafront railway you must try. You can come back up the hill on the funicular railway if all the walking has exhausted you. There is nowhere better for antique and junk shops.

A little bit further: Battle Abbey, scene of the famous Battle of Hastings in 1066, is a few miles inland. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay at our delightful holiday home. Pack swimming trunks, flip flops, good walking shoes, kites (to fly on the East Hill). We have the table tennis (incl. bats and balls), petanque / boules for the garden, etc. If you need any info while you're there just call.

brilliant for families for a seaside break

We rented the house for a weekend with another family for a weekend. Was worried by the term 'rustic' in case this was estate agent language for run down. Whilst the garden was a bit rough the house was fantastic for two families together, it was charming, had loads of space and plenty of facilities & equipment. The massive games room was a real bonus and we were really pleased by linen being provided and beds made up, just what you need after a long journey.
Would certainly recommend this to anyone, especially with older teenage children (bit of a steep hill from town but is walkable) where they want to chill out with friends. Garden is probably fine in summer for bbqs etc but we didnt use it as visited in winter.
Was concerned by large deposit needed but this was returned with no issues, overall good value for money.

Christmas in Hastings

We needed a house big enough to accommadtate our family for Christmas and we found the property to be exactly as described on the website. There was plenty of room and the upstairs area was lovely and light. The table tennis came in really useful as we were a mixed generation group so it kept the younger members occupied. The house was not luxurious but the price toally reflected this.It was very clean and we were warmly welcomed by the owner's manager.The house was in a nice part of Hastings and our fitter membersr walked from the house to the town. There is a big hill to walk up on the way back! In general. a pleasant stay.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Family weekend break

Despite the very cold pre-Christmas weather, we really enjoyed our weekend in Hastings. The house provided the perfect warm and comfortable base to explore the area, within easy walking distance of the shops and seafront. The table tennis proved popular and was welcome entertainment on rainy days. We were able to park one car outside the house in the lane, but extra cars were a short walk up the road. The tight parking and long front garden with steps did prove a little tricky with a toddler and baby when there was only one adult. I would recommend the house to friends or relatives with older children.
We visited the country park behind the house for a lovely walk. It was great to head out of the door into the countryside, leaving the car behind. My young son loved the aquarium and the whole family thought it was excellent value for money. We look forward to another visit in a few years time

Great holiday home

This is a great place for family &/or friends. The rooms are very clean, light and airy. There's loads of space - including a table tennis room.

The house is situated above, behind and far enough away from the seaside scenario to completely forget about it but within walking distance if that's your thing. Beautiful cliff top and woodland walks very close by.

Would definitely go again. Recommended
