Our holiday house 'Nebenan' lies about 100 m distant of our old farm. We haven’t managed it any more since we gave up the farm-work in 2003. But we still live and work here. Today we lead a little horticulture-company. We offer you a roomy house with 170 m² space on 2 floors with room for 2 to 8 persons. Children are very welcome. The great garden and a garage are also available. You can sit in front of the winter garden. There are 12 chairs, a special sit-opportunity for kids and 3 beach chairs. In addition, you can play football or table tennis or drive in the ‘Dino-cart’. While the parents relax on the beach chairs, the children can play safely on the playground. In the evening you can do barbecue. On our farm are waiting 2 Shetland ponies, a dog, some cats, a few chickens, rabbits and Guinea pigs for some little guests. The ponies can be ridden for free.

Wemkendorf in the municipality Wiefelstede, consists of some farms that are surrounded of pastures. Hedges offer habitat for a lot of plants and animals. Despite the rest and the isolation, we are not out of touch. In some minutes you can drive by car or bike to Wiefelstede or Rastede where you can get all you need. The large city Oldenburg is about 15 car-minutes distant. In about 20 minutes you can reach the coast if you use the A29. The plain land with many small but good ways is nice to drive there by bike. Nordic walking and jogging are possible, too. You can find many bathing possibilities and parks - even a recreational park is in proximity to us.
