Casa Sant'Ana has its own private rooftop pool and comfortable terraces with panoramic views of the sea, the islands of the Ria Formosa and the town. It is located in the midst of narrow cobbled streets in the traditional fisherman's neighbourhood of Olhao. The seafront with its vegetable, fruits and fish markets and restaurants is just a two-minute walk away. The ground floor of the house has a large living room opening onto a shaded patio, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area. Each of the four bedrooms on the first and second floors has its own bathroom with basin, WC, shower or bath tub. They have their own private access from the main entrance or the patio. Casa Sant'Ana has a small rooftop pool with a panoramic view over the Ria Formosa and the islands. The house is also suitable for a winter stay as every room has independently-controlled floor-heating. The wood-burning stove in the living room adds extra comfort and cosiness.

Olhao in Portugal Olhão is the most traditional fishing village of the Algarve with narrow, winding streets lined with white houses. Many artists have chosen to settle there because of its picturesque character and traditions. The town still lives on traditional fishing and has an extraordinary daily fish market and outstanding seafood restaurants. Beaches can be reached by ferry boats and water taxis which take you to the unspoiled islands of Armona, Culatra and Farol. There you can find long stretches of white sandy beaches safe for swimming and appreciate the peace and serenity of this unique nature reserve. Olhão is a perfect holiday village which combines the pleasure and fun of having restaurants, cafés, shopping and nightlife at hand as well as easy access by boat to pristine and secluded beaches. The area also has a large choice of golf courses and Seville is just over 2 hours drive way and Lisbon 2 and a half hours.

Suggestions for your stay: Take the picturesque ferries across the Ria Formosa to the pristine beaches of Armona, Culatra and Farol islands. Take a good picnic (and suncream !) for a day on the beach. Walk along the beaches for kilometres. Alternatively sit on the roof terrace by the pool and watch the seascape change with tides. Watch birds in the Nature Reserve close by. Visit the Ria Formosa with a private guide in a traditional fishing boat. Eat grilled sardines and other delicious seafood at local restaurants. Do as other Olhanenses and buy your fresh seafood, fruit and vegetables from traditional markets open 6 days a week. Watch fishermen at work in Olhao´s active fishing harbours. Rent a car and combine your stay with a visit to Tavira (20 km), Sevilla (190 km) and Andalusia nearby, or Lisbon (280 km) and the Alentejo on the way.
