Roquebrune Sur Argens:
Roquebrune has hairdressers, beautician, boulangerie, grocery shops, butcher, cafés and other shops. There is a very nice restaurant le Sainte Candie in the square, other restaurant le Gaspacho in the main road also in the old village les Templiers, two restaurants next to the lake and many pizza places for takeaway and eat in. Supermarkets - Intermarche, Lidl, Leader price and Dia within 2 km from the property. You will find Château de Palayson vineyard within walking distance, there are many vineyards in the area where you can taste and buy a reasonably good wine for the faction of the price you pay in England.
St Raphael:
Saint-Raphaël one of the oldest resorts on the coast in the French Riviera. The beaches and rocky section of coast are characterised by the red rock, as found in the Massif de l'Esterel. The long coastline gives plenty of opportunities to explore sandy beaches, marinas, good shopping, and restaurants. Deep-sea diving and the coastal path are among the most popular activities at Saint-Raphael. Local markets are held every day on Place de la Republique and Place Victor-Hugo also market for clothes and gifts on Sunday morning. Museum of prehistory and underwater archaeology is located in the presbytery of the former San Raféu church. Saint Raphael town is close to the A8 autoroute and the local railway station is a stop on the TGV line between Paris, Lyon, the Riviera, Nice and Italy, including the high-speed TGV train. 'Train-Auto Accompagné' station, for travelling with your car between the Riviera and Paris. Saint Raphaël has excellent bus service with other towns in the area.
Cannes and Grasse:
Cannes is located in the heart of the French Riviera, on the Mediterranean coast. Since the end of the 19th century and Cannes is associated with the rich and famous - the glitzy because of the prestigious annual Cannes Film Festival, great spot for the world celebrities’ spotting. Cannes has sandy beaches, shopping, expensive bars, Casinos and restaurants.
Grasse in southern Provence is situated 16 km north of Cannes and the town is famous for perfume production where you can visit many perfume houses and you can find a bargain perfume, perfumed body lotion, soap, candles and etc. It is a pleasant and quite sizable town, with an old town holding an excess of medieval buildings, narrow streets, and cafes and restaurants. There is an annual Fête du Jasmin in Grasse at the beginning of August with fireworks, free parties, folk music groups and street performers.
Ski:
In winter you can easily reach ski sloops between an hour to an hour & half.drive from the property.
