The apartment is a spacious second floor flat sleeping 4 people. (No lift.) It is part of the mature Résidence Castell Béar block, surrounded by pines and situated on the hillside at the edge of the village and open countryside or 'garrigue'. It has stunning uninterrupted views of the sea and hills that form the beautiful rocky coastline. There are 2 principle rooms: double bedroom; living room that opens onto large covered balcony/loggia with built-in BBQ; separate kitchen with utility and storage area. Efficient gas central heating for the cooler months. Parking in communal car park. The apartment is modestly but very comfortably furnished and equipped. It provides clean, bright, spacious accommodation with fantastic '5 star' views, and is great value for money. It's a scenic 15 min walk down steps and paths to the town centre facilities, shops, cafés, and main beach. Alternatively there is a free shuttle bus to & from town around 6 times a day.

Banyuls is a lovely little seaside town on the beautiful Vermillion coast near the Spanish border, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. Originally a traditional Catalan fishing village, Banyuls is now surrounded by the hillside vineyards that produce some of the region’s excellent wines and the locally produced aperitif wine ‘Banyuls’ which is named after the village. Whatever you are looking for from a holiday, the area has plenty to offer: excellent coastal and mountain walks; rest and replenishment on the beach; diving and snorkeling;artists' trails; historic sites, picturesque villages & interesting towns; good food & wine; sunshine and beautiful natural surroundings. Banyuls is a relatively undiscovered gem on the French Mediterranean and it remains unspoiled by mass tourism. With its mix of French and Catalan cultures, and just 12 kilometers from Spain, it is perfect for a restful holiday and for exploring on both sides of the border at any time of year.

Two single roll-up futons are available to provide occasional extra beds if needed.
