New, large, well located

Our family of three stayed a week in this beautiful new apartment located just three blocks from Westminster Abbey and Parliament and we loved it. Ann, the delightful owner, met us at the door and had made sure everything was in perfect working order prior to our arrival. It was immaculate with two large bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen in addition to the living room in the photo.

The listed building had been partially converted to apartments with a 24-hour concierge at the front desk and great security. Elevators. The Home Office is across the street; Burberry's new headquarters is around the corner. With mostly offices close by, you hear nothing at night except Big Ben (if you have the windows open). A short walk to dozens of Victoria St. restaurants, but only 111 steps to the nearest Pret a Manger and 206 steps to the closest Mini-Tesco for virtually all your food and household shopping needs, although Ann made sure there was plenty of soap, tissues, detergents, etc.

It is a ten minute walk to Westminster tube station. We found it very central to so many attractions and an easy walk to the parks. Highly recommended for someone who wants modern comfort in a large, beautifully maintained contemporary apartment. Perfect for relaxing after a day of seeing all the sites of the city.

Lovely large apartment in Westminster

We stayed here for a week in September 2009. The location is just across the street from the Home Office headquarters in Westminster. It is very quiet at night--you can hear Big Ben chime, even the quarter-hours, if you have the window open.

It is a 10-minute walk to the tube station. Also easy walking distance to Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye across the bridge. There are grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. Pret a Manger (nice sandwich shop) is just a block away.

The building has a full-time concierge. We didn't hear any noise from other apartments when we were there, although a few times people would talk in the central garden courtyard in the evenings.

The apartment is spacious, clean and new. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice. The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The owner, Ann, met us when we arrived and made sure everything was in working order. She loaned us a USB "dongle" that provided wireless internet for our laptop. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend it to friends and family.
