Funchal holiday apartment

We enjoyed our stay so much that we are thinking of going back next year. The flat is located outside the city centre but still in Funchal in the Lido area and does have various bus stops to get you anywhere. It is in a block of flat , very quite i must say, probably because it is used mainly in the summer time, in fact in our 10 days i only met one lady coming in and saw a gentleman looking after the private garden a few times. The flat is a spacious 1 bed ideal for a couple, there is space for a kid too though. Do not be fooled by the pictures as although there is nothing to suggest what the bathroom and main room are , they are pretty adequate. The kitchen is well furnished with a small balcony. The living room is very spacious and well furnished with dinner table, coffe table, sofa, chair and a balcony providing a fantastic view of the ocean . We spent our breakfast time trying to make out if there were any whales or dolphins in the area ( next time i will bring binoculars). The bathroom is petit but well equipped with a walk in shower while the bedroom is very comfortable. The whole flat was adorned with fresh local flowers and we even got some goodies to get us started. It is not every day that one gets into a rented flat and find chilled beer, tonic water, fresh water and wine waiting!
The cheery on the top was the free transfer, both ways, to and from the airport.
All in all an excellent flat located outside the main city centre ideal for a couple wanting to explore the island.
