Villa Azura sleeps 8/9 & is a new contemporary, spacious, luxury 4 bedroom (all en-suite) villa. All rooms have travertine/marble floors & air-conditioning. 2 bedrooms with sea & mountain views have private balconies. Wifi internet connection, Flat Screen 32'' TV DVD/CD 5.1 S/sound. Private pool. Fully equipped modern kitchen. The villa offers stunning, uninterrupted views over Kalamar Bay & the Taurus mountains. 15/20 minute walk from Kalkan where there are harbourside & roof terrace restaurants & shops. All bedrooms & living areas have air conditioning & 2 bedrooms have low noise level fans & separate dressing rooms. Mosquito repellent plugs provided. On arrival we supply a complimentary welcome hamper & info file, containing emergency numbers & general information about your stay. Please note: the pool is not fenced off & has no shallow end (it is 6 m by 3.5 m and 1.6 m deep), not suitable for very young children. Help with airport transfers to and from the airport through an agent.

Kalkan, described as Turkey's best kept secret, is a small, sophisticated resort set on the Turkish Mediterranean Riviera. The town nestles on the foot of the Taurus mountains and was once a small fishing village, it is now a charming holiday resort consisting of colorful cobbled streets, white washed houses, interesting shops and harbourside restaurants. It provides all the necessary amenities. There are supermarkets, a post office, banks with ATM machines, a medical centre, chemists, dentists, internet cafes, and a wide assortment of shops selling everything from Turkish rugs, traditional clothes, jewelery, souvenirs etc, to modern boutiques and leather shops. There is a market every Thursday which sells all sorts of local produce, teas, spices, pottery. One of our favourite things to do is charter one of the boats in the harbour for the day. Many archaeological sites including Patara beach & ruins, Kekova, Saklikent Gorge, Xanthos, Letoon, and many more, all close to Kalkan.

Additional information about rental rates

  • On confirmation of the booking there is a £200 deposit (non refundable). The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival together with a £300 deposit against damage. This will be refunded in full within 2 weeks of your return, provided there have been no losses/serious damage or breakages. (This excludes normal wear and tear.)
  • Changeover day is usually Monday or Friday but we try to be flexible if possible. However, we require guests to vacate the villa by 12 noon on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. Check in time is 16:00 hours unless otherwise agreed.

    We can also take bookings for more than 7 nights ie; 10 nights and so on.
  • Underfloor heating is provided throughout the villa in the months of December and January

Accessibility: Villa Azura is in a fully paved quiet cul de sac and it has off street parking for 1 car. Marble steps lead to the front entrance at the side of the house. Unfortunately it is not very suitable for persons with mobility problems and has no wheelchair access. Dalaman airport is approx. 1hr 30 mins. Antalya airport is approx. 2hr 15 mins. We can help with airport transfers/car hire through an agent.

Outside: Villa Azura is in a fully paved quiet cul de sac and it has off street parking for 1 car. Marble steps lead to the front entrance at the side of the house. Unfortunately it is not very suitable for persons with mobility problems and has no wheelchair access. A large pool terrace with sea views is accessed from the living/dining area through double sliding glass doors. Sunbeds, parasols and a separate dining area with marble dining table (seats 8) & chairs are situated on this level, perfect for barbeques. Steps lead down from the terrace at the side of the pool to a contemporary pebbled garden area. The roof terrace is very large with wonderful sea and mountain views. Large 3 seater sofa and 2 arm chairs with comfy cushions accompany a granite coffee table, sink and small fridge. An ideal setting for sunset/moonlight drinks. All outside areas have lighting.

Coast/Beach: The sea is a 5 minute walk, where you can find Kalamar Beach Club which offers watersports including scuba diving and Kulube Beach Club/Hotel. Kalkan Town is 5 mins by car or a 20 minute walk and has a beautiful harbour with a marina and beach. The 18km Patara Beach (voted best beach in the world by The Sunday Times) is a 15 mins drive away, Kaputas Beach is a 10 mins drive. Both beaches plus the local town of Kas can also be reached by local bus.

A Fantastic Week in Kalkan

We stayed at Villa Azure for a week in early September '09 and had a fantastic time. The facilities were pretty much as described and was very clean and tidy upon our arrival. We would definitely recommend it.

While it might be a squeeze for 9 people, the 6 of us had plenty of shared space as well as private en-suite rooms to disappear to.

One member of our party lost her glasses and Andrew and Haidee were extremely helpful in assisting her with ordering a new pair from Fetiye. They were approachable and friendly but weren't looking over your shoulder.

Excellent value for money and the laundry room, dish washer and barbeque were really helpful.

All-in-all a really great location and place to stay. You're not supposed to but there's nothing like swimming under the stars with a cocktail and good friends.

A fabulous villa with great views over the bay

Villa Azura is a new high speck build with great sea views. Its situated in Kalamar Bay some 15/20 mins walk from Kalkan which at first we thought might be a disadvatage but this position gave a more peaceful holiday and a fantastic view over the quiet bay.
The layout of the villa proved excellent 2 bedrooms on the lower ground floor kept cool with the two bedrooms on the first floor giving great views accross the bay. The most talked about part of the villa and used every evening at sunset was the roof terrace. G&T's watching the sun go down, nothing better. Pool also great.
Villa Azura was clean on arrival and a thorough clean after 1 week by visiting cleaners was helpful. Water cooler provided proved very useful. Used local Can Can supermarket to deliver breakfast items each day plus refill water bottels for cooler. Owners popped in to make sure everything was fine and were contactable for any help needed. Most useful.
In Kalamar there are a few bars/restaraunts plus the beach club (costs to use) and the public beach area which was free. No actual beach though just platforms to swim off. If you dont like sand these are great.
All the bars and restaruants in Kalkan we used were very good with tasty, fresh food every visit with many having roof terraces with harbour views.
Boat trips well worth doing plus a trip inland to the gorge and a trip up the coat to Patara beach (loads of sand) is also worth doing.
Overall great villa, great holiday and I would recommend it anytime.

Excellent holiday Villa

The most comprehensively furnished Villa we have stayed in - everything was provided. The services,such as pool cleaning and airport transfers were the most professional we have encountered in Kalkan.

Some really good restaurants - from expensive to inexpensive. Salt and Pepper and Aubergine were top of the range but worth it and the Garden Cafe is a must for the delightful staff there and excellent food

Haidee and Andrew were always on hand if there was a problem (we did not have any!) and the fact there was a local telephone for taxi's and ordering from a supermarket made a lot of differenced. Why can we not 'phione for a bottle of Vodka in the UK and have it delivered in 10 minutes!

If you want a quiet and stress free holiday with all the small details provided then this is the Villa for you.

We stayed in Villa Azura from 14th to 31st August 09 with our three daughters ages 15,14 & 11, the villa is absolutely beautifull, lovely marble floors throughout, it is really well appointed - in a great location, stunning views of Kalamar bay. I don't know how old the Villa is - but it looks and feels like brand new.
Haidee was extremely helpfull and provided us with lots of info -everything we needed, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others, we would definately stay there again - we really enjoyed the whole Kalkan experience.
