More information on villa and location:
Our villa is situated on the prestigious golf complex, Hacienda del Alamo. The 18 championship course was designed by Dave Thomas. It is a 5 minute drive from the Spanish town of Fuente Alamo, 25 minute drive from the famous La Manga Club and its beaches and 25 minutes from the beaches of Mazarron. It is also a 25 minute drive from the Provincial Capital, Murcia, the 6th largest city in Spain and about a 20 minute drive from Cartagena with all its Roman history. The villa has landscaped gardens with a large terrace and a private pool (10m x 5m). There are lovely terraces overlooking the golf course. Inside the rooms are spacious and fully furnished.
Why we chose this villa?:
The location and the views were the main reasons for buying this villa. It was originally owned by one of the senior people involved in the Hacienda project and when they approached me about buying I didn't think twice. Looking over the course and the mountains in the background is stunning and having the golf course at the end of the garden means no development is ever going to encroach. It is a very tranquil, peaceful villa and somewhere you can really unwind. If you want nightclubs, this place is not for you! It's ideal for young families or those who want to be a little more strenuous and play golf or tennis. The nearby beaches provide all the usual activities.
Living space:
Sleeps 6. 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms. There is also an open courtyard, garage and numerous terraces with views over the golf course. There is an open plan living and eating area off the kitchen, which has a dishwasher and washing machine. The villa is air conditioned. There are 3 bedrooms, one double and two twins. The double has an en suite shower room and the twin rooms share a bathroom that has a bath/shower. The garden and pool are very private and are not overlooked.
Golf:
The Hacienda golf course was designed by David Thomas and it is a testing championship course. Each hole has a separate identity, as it winds it's way through the resort. From the back tees it is one of the longest courses in Europe. Buggies are available for hire. The club house is stunning and is about a 2 minute drive from the villa, an early evening drink on the terrace or dinner is highly recommended. There is also a 6 hole golf academy, ideal for beginners.
