New Property Special Price for 2009! Set in the peaceful village of Torcross, At the Beach offers a relaxing holiday destination while still having plenty in the local area to keep you entertained. The apartments are situated in the middle of 3 miles of single beach where you will also find a cosy pub and cafes. Slapton Ley freshwater Nature Reserve is also close by and is perfect for spotting wildlife and birdwatching. Torcross was made famous as the training ground for US Army forces preparing for the D-Day invasion in World War II. An American Sherman tank which was lost at sea in 1944 and recovered in 1984, and memorials, stand beside the visitor parking lot as a reminder of the of the lives that were lost. Dartmouth is a short drive away, as is Salcombe.

Probably the most famous resort and sailing centre in the South West, Salcombe is the Southern most town in the South Hams. The views Salcombe boasts are second to none and in the summer months is a haven of activity with sail boats, dinghies and yachts peppering the river. Shops include Musto, Jack Wills, White Stuff, fat face mixed in with independent galleries and boutiques. You are never far from refreshments with plenty of traditional pubs to choose from all within a few steps form the waters edge. There are 3 beautiful sandy beaches just across the river from Salcombe; East Portlemouth, North Sands and South Sands which can be access via regular ferries
