Location: Looe in United Kingdom
The stunning town of Looe is divided into East and West Looe by the estuary of the Looe River flowing gently between then two villages. East Looe is a thriving fishing port where you can watch the early morning auction of the freshly landed fish and West Looe is on the quieter side of the river where you can find the starting point for the heritage trail.
The towns are characterised by their narrow cobbled streets, steeped in history and full of stories and legends of smugglers and fishing. Just a short walk through the maze of alleyways of East Looe and you will reach a beautiful sandy beach perfect for families and ideal for rock pooling.
There are many attractions available in and around Looe including: speed boat trips round the bay, wreck fishing trips, sailing in a real Cornish lugger or simply relaxing on the beach. The unspoilt fishing village of Polperro is just 3 miles away where again you’ll find a maze of narrow lanes leading down to a picturesque and truly harbour.
