* A 2 bedroom house, sleeps 4. * Patio and courtyard area to enjoy alfresco dining. * Close to all local amenities. * Short drive to Torquay or Teignmouth. * Parking. Shoreside is a new development on the banks of the River Teign in Shaldon, one of Devon’s most scenic villages. These properties have been built to a high specification so as to blend in with the local architecture. The riverside location makes this a superb place to enjoy a holiday. Shaldon village itself has five welcoming pubs that, along with the superb views across the estuary, serve some excellent meals as well as cafes, restaurants and bistros to choose from. There is a good range of local shops including a bakery, general stores, a local butcher and a delicatessen. A short climb to 'The Ness', a tree topped cliff overlooking the mouth of the river will be rewarded by a magnificent view across to Teignmouth and out to sea. Shaldon Wildlife centre, a small zoo too.

Teignmouth is a historic old port and traditional seaside town at the estuary of the River Teign. It has the activity of a working port, with large ships, fishing vessels and pleasure craft traveling between sea and estuary. The seaward side of the town features an elegant crescent of Georgian buildings and a promenade that, alongside the beach, stretches the length of the town and boasts a Victorian pier. The estuary side of the town is a lively place of fishing boats, beach huts and waterside inns, with the village of Shaldon just across the water. The area is well served by the A38, providing easy access to Newton Abbot, Exeter, Dartmoor and the numerous attractions of South Devon. Shaldon is a picturesque village positioned on the banks of the River Teign on the opposite bank to Teignmouth. This peaceful location offers relaxing strolls along the river bank to the village centre where you will find pubs, local shops and restaurants. Teignmouth is a historic old port.

Ideal location for exploring the West Country

Shaldon is a perfect location for touring without driving everyday, as you can take a bus or train. Within a few yards of the property one can view the estuary and surrounding hills.
There are real ale pubs, restuarants and small shops in the village with supermarkets just over the bridge in Teignmouth.
The cottage itself is newly built, but looks traditional from the outside. All the facilities provided were good quality with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The property was clean, well-maintained with instructions for all appliances etc.
Everyone is friendly and I would certainly recommend this property to my friends and relatives.
