Capitana holiday villa

This house has been carefully designed and decorated with beautiful touches like Moroccan lamps and hand painted furniture - you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The kitchen is kitted out with everything you could possibly need and the supermarket is right across the road. As well as the table inside there is also a table and chairs and a barbeque outside where Antonello has planted a lovely shady private garden but watch out for the sprinkler!

Although there is a nice beach about five minutes walk from the house and a beautiful one past Capitana about 15 minutes walk, the beaches get better and better the further down the coast you go so to make the most you really do need to hire a car. Our hosts, Carmen and Antonello were extremely helpful providing us with information on the buses to the beaches (which were not very reliable) and made sure we had a fantastic experience in Sardinia and even took us to a beach near Villasimius one day.

There is a restaurant at the tourist port of Capitana which is quite nice and a lovely one called Prima Piano above the supermarket. There is also a little café and a gelateria over the road. If you have a car Cagliari is a beautiful city with lots of places to eat and some really nice little gift shops and jewellery shops which we are looking forward to exploring properly next time we go back!
