Villa Merlan is situated but a 15 minute stroll away from Tenerife's most exclusive resorts of Playa del Duque and Fanabe. Here you will discover a beautiful golden beach and some of the most select restaurants on the island. Budding Tiger Woods will appreciate the four golf courses nearby, the closest being the championship course at Costa Adeje - which hosted the Spanish Open. Should you be more of a water baby, Siam Park, Europe's largest water park is just one mile away and was recently featured on the TV series Mega Structures for possessing the world's largest wave machine!! It's certainly not for the feint-hearted, but terrific fun nonetheless.

Golf: Costa Adeje Golf is a beautiful (sea views) 18 hole championship course (venue for Spanish Open) and has an excellent driving range. It is 5 minutes away by car, as is the 9 hole course at Playa de Las Americas. At 15-20 minutes are Amarilla Golf And Golf del Sur, the latter having 27 holes and a sumptuous Canarian club house. Amarilla Golf has a pitch & put course and several of the main course greens border the sea. Finally, the ultimate luxury and challenge, await you at Abama Golf, some 20 minutes drive away. This course is in the grounds of the world famous Abama Hotel (5*+), and meanders down to the sea through beautiful colourful landscaped grounds. None of the clubs require you to be a member, and you can pay by the round. Electric buggies etc are available at an extra charge.
