  • Payment may be made in U.K. pounds sterling or euros.
    The price includes a weekly towel and bed linen change. As the villa is a private residence a high level of etiquette and respect for the owner's property and possessions is required. Long term low cost winter and retirement lets are available by private negotiation.
  • The Aegean Blue Villa can be viewed on our private website and the the website is available on request. This website contains further information and a slide show. Our brochure, picture D.V.D., terms and conditions of stay and booking confirmation will be sent on payment of a non returnable deposit of £250.00 per week booked. A provisional booking will be held for a period of 24 hours to allow you to make payment of your deposit. It is not necessary to book your flights at the time of booking the villa. Crete is well serviced by flights into both Chania and Heraklion and we have never experienced any problems booking flights even at short notice however it will always be your responsibility to book your own flights. Balance and returnable bond of £100.00 are payable in full eight weeks prior to your visit.

Notes: The Aegean Blue Villa is set in a 500m sq. plot of landscaped gardens including rockeries, flowerbeds with many quality plants, lemon and orange trees, bougainvillea, oleander and numerous terracotta pots and Greek urns. Set just above the swimming pool is a covered alfresco dining area with kitchen and bar area, including a sink, fridge/freezer, barbeque and large table with seating for six people. It is rare to find a heated swimming pool, which takes the chill out of the water during the early and late season. The 30 m sq. solar heated infinity swimming pool, depth 1.0 m - 1.2 m is ideal for small children as well as adults and is cleaned and tested on a regular basis. Around the pool area are sunbeds, parasols and an outdoor shower. The large terrace patio area has further seating, a small table, sunbeds and throughout the day the villa always enjoys areas of sunshine and shade. The sun sets in a spectacular display each night as it slowly disappears behind the distant hills.

EXCLUSIVE QUALITY PRIVATE RESIDENCE: The villa is part of a very prestigious development of eleven privately owned villas, which won the Bentley international property awards in 2005 as the best development in Greece. Being privately owned the villa has many quality fixtures and fittings, including polished granite floors, fly screens, air conditioning fitted wardrobes, heated infinity swimming pool and dress curtains. The villa is ideal for familes who do not wish to hire a car as the village of Almyrida with its sandy beaches, shops, tavernas and sea front restaurants is only a ten minute walk away. However we always recommend a hire car to enable you to enjoy the area to the maximum.

CAR HIRE: A hire car can be arranged on your behalf through the local agent in Almyrida who will have their representative waiting for you at the airport in arrivals and will have you on your way to the Aegean Blue Villa without delay. However you my wish to simply enjoy the villa, its many facilities with the secluded sandy beach and shallow cove of Kera, which is only a five minute walk away, relax, unwind and enjoy. Kera beach is very private, usually deserted, offering a mix of sand and pebbles, its shallow waters are ideal for small children and diving activities.

OWNERS: The Aegean Blue Villa is the second home of Sally and Richard Fearnley. Richard owns his own independent family funeral business and also works as a local magistrate. Sally owns her own hair dressing salon. Should you decide to rent our beautiful home for your well deserved holiday we can guarantee that the service you receive will be outstanding both prior and during your stay. The villa is an exclusive private residence not a holiday let and it is very rare to be able to rent such a property directly from the owners who wish you to share this beautiful location. A great place to stay!

My husband, daughter and I recently spent 2 weeks in early October at this property and were very pleased with the villa. It was very clean and well maintained. As we had all of our breakfasts and some dinners at the villa, we appreciated the well equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ and eating areas. The landscaping and gardens were wonderful and provided some privacy from the (little travelled) roadway and surrounding villas.
The location was great; close to the villages of Almirida and Kalives for provisions, tavernas etc yet provided more privacy than resort environment. This villa was also a great location for easy day trips to the western and southern Crete coasts.
The scene overlooking the clear blue water of Souda Bay was wonderful.
The information, local tips and directions provided in the literature were accurate, well laid out and easy to follow! We tried many of the recommended tavernas in several villages including Armeni, Plaka and Vamos and were not disappointed. Our car rental company (recommended by the villa owner) was reliable and easy to deal with.
Although Almirida is within walking distance of the villa, a rental car is useful for exploring the region. The Cretan roads were well maintained with adequate signage.
The small sandy beach at Kera Bay is relatively secluded and is a grat place to spend some time. .
After visiting several of the populated resort areas in the Chania region, we agreed that the Aegean Blue Villa is the best choice for those who are looking for a balance between exploring Crete and privacy at the poolside soaking up the Crete sunshine!
I wouldn't recommend this property for families with very young children as the pool's depth was 1.0 - 1.2 m.

Our Idyllic Holiday at the Aegean Blue Villa

This holiday was our second visit to the outstanding Aegean Blue Villa in Crete. In September 2008, Gary and I spent our honeymoon at the villa. We had the most wonderful holiday and immediately decided to book for the following year. The description and photographs of the villa are spot on - in fact I would go as far as to say that the villa is even nicer in real life! The villa stands in an immaculately maintained landscaped garden and boasts its very own infinity pool. The outdoor kitchen and dining area is a superb addition - we ate our breakfast every morning on this terrace taking full advantage of the breathtaking views of the bay and the spectacular backdrop of the mountains. The Aegean Blue Villa is beautifully furnished throughout - a lot of care and attention to detail has been paid to this property. The villa is in a lovely location, close to the small villages of Almirida and Kalives. We particularly enjoyed the beach bars and restaurants in Kalives - a combination of traditional Greek with a contemporary twist! A trip to Chania is a must - it is only 20 minutes drive away and well worth it. Chania is a fantastic city with its Venetian harbour, waterside restaurants and quaint shops. We had the most wonderful honeymoon - a fantastic second trip - and will be definitely booking for 2010.

TRUELY STUNNING LOCATION AND BEAUTIFUL VILLA

This is now our third stay at the Aegean Blue Villa in the beautiful Greek seaside village of Almyrida in Crete. We can not recommend this location and villa enough and the owners and their representatives made our stay even more special by their kindness and attention to detail.
The villa and it's facilities are beautiful and the location was perfect and very central to all the main beaches, villages, restaurants and tavernas, which are all within walking distance. The views from the villa simply reduced us to tears of joy and we are always very sad to leave but always feel very priviledged to return. Breakfast on our bedroom balcony or in the lovely outdoor dining area was the only way to start our perfect days. The views and sunsets are unbelievable and is one of the reasons why the Aegean Blue Villa is so special and why we have returned again and again. There are many beautiful areas and restaurants to visit and the city of Chania and the old harbour town are a must. You can certainly tell that the villa is someones home and is looked after and maintained to a very high standard. We hope to come back to Crete again soon and we will definately be booking the Aegean Blue Villa.
