Enjoy the unexplored landscapes of the northern Alentejo: river beaches, natural waterfalls in hidden lakes, surrounded by green hills and cliffs – the perfect location for a picnic. Discover lost civilizations in the Archaeology Museum and stroll down a roman bridge in Mação; immerse yourself in the medieval past with a visit to the castle of Belver and surrender to the adventure by climbing peaks or canoeing down the river Tagus in Alamal. At the end of the day return for a sauna or water massage session and a home cooked meal made especially for you. Warm up in the cold nights with a glass of wine in front of the fireplace and taste the local products we have for you.

Vilar da Mó is a very peaceful village and, yet, very close to all amenities. Less than 10 minutes away is Mação where you can find museums and shops, roman bridges and ancient chapels - one of them dated from 1320. Also nearby are several river beaches, dams, hot springs, lakes and waterfalls all surrounded by mountain cliffs. You can visit the ruins of villages from 2000 b.c., see Neolithic paintings, medieval castles and roman baths. Visit the work of the last remaining local maker of Picaretos - traditional black boats used in the Tagus River; observe the making of a traditional handmade quilt and taste the delights of the local gastronomy. If you enjoy birdwatching we have several indigenous species in the area such as eagles, crows, nightingales, kites, finches, blackbirds, larks, partridges, swallows in the spring, summer and autumn, and sparows all year round.

  • There is an option of rental per night with the following prices: Room Lua €85 / night; Rooms Campo and Água €100 / night; Room Sol €120 / night
  • There will be required a security deposit of 50% of the total for your stay when renting per property per week. This will be discounted from you bill at the end of your stay. For nightly stays, we require 30% of the total payed in advance. For both situations this payment will be made via bank transfer. Once we receive a copy of the transfer statement provided by the bank and some ID, we will send you a booking confirmation.

Notes: The outdoor swimming pool is a salt water pool. Our spa has a hot tub with room for four people, an infrared sauna and a massage room with several massages and treatments at your disposal. . Wheelchair access to the 1st floor and garden is a bit difficult but not impossible.
