Fishing:
Fishing has happened on Lake Annecy for the last 18,000 years. The clear water of Lake Annecy has been nurtured to encourage the return of several rare species of fish. Lake Annecy is said to have the cleanest water in Europe thanks to forward thinking in the 1950s. The main source of Lake Annecy comes past our hotel via our canal, from Doussard. Push your boat off from the front of the hotel first thing every morning, return for breakfast to your waterfront housel and then head back out after breakfast and spend the day drifting slowly around the calm waters stopping in for lunch or drinks at one of the stunning little shorefront villages. Many streams flow in the mountains around Lake Annecy within a radius of 30 kilometres so variety is key. Main fish are the Fera and the Omble.
