Would you like to live peacefully and know the lively capital nearby? Then you are rightly with us. Our holiday home lies directly on the city limits of Berlin-Spandau in two-family house in the country house style. You accommodate a large 90 m² apartment with separate entrance, comfortably furnished with 2 bedrooms, living room, winter garden (heated), kitchen and bath. Should you have had enough of Berlin, you can relax in our well-maintained garden (1.200 m²) or use the Sauna in our Sauna cabin in the garden. As you live right next to the Berlin district of Spandau, all tourist attractions of Berlin and Potsdam can be reached in approx. 30 minutes. Do you wish to arrive by train or by air? Shuttle service is possible. Fairs at the radio tower and Olympic stadium can be reached in 20 minutes. Shopping opportunities, savings bank, pharmacy, doctors, post office are provided in the settlement. Pet can be brought along after agreement.

As the name so rightly describes, Schönwalde lies right beside a wonderful forest. The Schönwalde settlement was designed and subdivided in 1932. Many new houses and villas have come up after this turn lending a very beautiful character to the place. The properties are very large and we have an old forestland, on which there are partially oaks and partially bays, which are indicated as natural monuments and are already 400 years old. We have a historical inn in the place which was built 222 years ago and was used as a change station for horses of the stagecoaches on the way to Hamburg. You have many recreational facilities in the vicinity of Schönwalde, the Havel lakes can be reached within approx. 30 minutes by bicycle. We are located directly on the city limit of Berlin-Spandau. Therefore, you have peace, the big city but in the immediate proximity. Berlin is famous for its water wealth-- steamboat excursions are therefore a must.

Notes: **** stars - German-Touristic. Our holiday home is very comfortably furnished and all our previous guests have felt very comfortable. As the apartment is very big (90 m²) 6 persons can stay comfortably stay here. The bath has a tub and shower, towels are included in the rate. The kitchen is fully equipped and you find all that you need – from tea towel to bottle opener. The heatable verandah with a large dining table and chairs is located beside the living room. You can comfortably eat or play there with a view of our well-tended garden and sauna cabin.

Berlin in Winter: Berlin has a lot to offer in Autumn and Winter. Who wishes to visit a museum during the loveliest sunshine in summer? Winter is created therefore. A lot of museums and exhibitions invite you to visit. The various Christmas markets in the several urban districts of Berlin and in the surrounding regions are also lovely. The streets under the lime trees and Kurfürstendamm are a feast for the eyes during Christmas time. During this time you can shop almost round-the-clock long past the closing times of the shops in Berlin. Berlin is always open.

Water Sports and Riding: Berlin and its surroundings offer many water sport facilities. We ourselves are a member of the renowned Potsdam yacht club. Sailors, motorboat sailors as well as canoeists etc. are therefore in good hands with us. Water tours are also possible from Schönwalde - please inquire. If you own a canoe or rubber dinghy, bring it along. They can be placed in our garden. Riders and Polo players are in good hands with us. The Seeburg Polo field (approx. 12 km) and the Dallgow-Döberitz stud farm (7 km) are not far away. Horses can be kept there. Riders have various options for rides in the surroundings. There are stables in the next place where you can hire your horse.

Hikes and Bicycle Tours: Theodor Fontane had already praised the wonderful landscape of Brandenburg in his 'Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg'. They still have very good walking opportunities. Whether 'per Pedes' - as the Berliners say - or with the bicycle, you have a very beautiful landscape here, which - even without big hills - is wonderful to deal with for everyone. Bring along your bicycles or rent them from us, we have 3 bicycles for our guests in the 'Stall'.

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung

Wir (2 Erw. + 2 Kinder mit 1 Hund) wollten in den Sommerferien im Anschluss an unseren Urlaub auf Rügen noch 5 Tage Berlin erleben und sind so auf diese Ferienwohnung gestoßen.

Aufgrund der guten Bewertung, haben wir diese Fewo ziemlich früh gebucht und diese Entscheidung wirklich nicht bereut.

Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Als Ausgangslage für die Erkundung von Berlin / Potsdam und Umgebung einfach ideal.

Da die Umgebung der Fewo Wohnung sehr schön ist (viel Wald & Grün) kann man sich dort gut erholen oder ggf. die Natur per Fahrrad oder zu Fuß erkunden. Auch für den Hund einfach nur super.

In der Ferienwohnung ist wirklich auch alles vorhanden und die Vermieter sind super nett und immer hilfreich.

Terrasse und Garten sind genauso positiv hervorzuheben.

Wir werden auf jeden Fall gerne wiederkommen und können diese Wohnung nur empfehlen.
Owner's Response: Der große Renner war für unsere Gäste unser "Hundeanhänger", den man am Fahrrad montieren kann. Dadurch konnte auch der Hund mitfahren und alle hatten viel Spaß.

Ein Urlaub wie er sein soll. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen und Besichtigungen nach Berlin, Potsdam und das Havelland mit sehr guter Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr.Nach einem anstrengenden Tag bietet der große Garten die Möglichkeit, den Akku wieder aufzutanken. Die schöne Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen und bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten - sogar WLAN.
Nochmals herzlichen Dank an die Gastgeber für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und die tollen Tipps.
Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Jahreswechsel in Berlin

Wir waren über den Jahreswechsel in der FeWo untergekommen.
Es ist eine schöne, großzügige und üppig ausgestattete Ferienwohnung. Auch die Sauna ist TOP und lädt zum Verweilen ein !
Für Fragen stand uns die Hausherin hilfreich zur Seite und wie sie geschrieben hat: Es wird alles möglich gemacht; nur das Wetter können sie nicht beeinflussen. Stimmt und dafür ein Dankeschön !!!
Ein kleiner Tipp für Silvester-Urlauber: Öffentlicher Nahverkehr ist super, aber in der Silvesternacht läuft nix mehr bis in den Ort ab einer bestimmten Uhrzeit. Von daher: Mit der Bahn zum Bahnhof Spandau und dann weiter mit der Taxe ( Kosten ca. € 15.- ) oder lange genug in Berlin verweilen.
Bezahlbare Unterkunft an der Stadtgrenze von Berlin, ohne teuren Silvesterzuschlag !!!

Gerne kommen wir wieder ! Wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt.
Owner's Response: Seit Januar 2009 haben wir hier auch eine Nachtlinie, die bis
1.30 Uhr fährt. Sie werden mit einem Linien -Taxi chauffiert von Spandau aus zum Preis des öffentlichen Personen-Nahverkehrs. Das ist natürlich für unsere Gäste in Zukunft eine große Erleichterung.

Wenn man einen Stadturlaub mit Erholung auf dem Lande kombinieren möchte , ist diese Ferienwohnung optimal.
Sehr gute Möglichkeiten mit dem Hund spazieren zu gehen.
Wohnung sehr gemütlich, auch im Winter zu empfehlen.

Im Anschluß an unseren Urlaub an der Ostsee verbrachten wir noch eine Woche in Berlin. Wir waren sehr überrascht, was wir dort gebucht hatten. Eine wunderbare, gepflegte Wohnung mit eigener Terasse und einem riesengroßen Garten. Damit hatten wir gar nicht gerechnet. Die Bilder geben kaum wieder, wie schön es hier war.
Freundliche Gastgeber, die jederzeit ansprechbar waren und uns gute Tipps geben konnten und eine super Unterkunft, was will man mehr im Urlaub.
Sehr empfehlenswert!
Owner's Response: Um die Ferienwohnung noch gemütlicher zu gestalten, haben wir eine neue Couch-Garnitur angeschafft, die u.E. noch besser zum Gesamtbild des Wohnzimmers paßt. Die Bilder werden demnächst auch in unserem Online-Inserat zu sehen sein.
