Positioned directly in front of the sea at Fontane Bianche, 20 meters from the shore. Spectacular views from the veranda. 15km from the interesting Greek city of Syracusa. Twenty minutes from the baroque city of Noto.
Siracusa is a Mediterranean city with a rich cultural heritage. There is the biggest Greek theater outside Athens, where in May Greek plays are performed.
There is an important Greek museum that tells the history of the area. The city has a magnificent natural port and the old city on the island of Ortigia, in the centre of Siracusa, has a history that goes back 3000 years. In the 1 Km square Island we find the Cathedral ‘Duomo’ (with architecture form the Doric, Byzantine, Norman, late Baroque and Renaissance) and there are remains of Greek temples Baroque palaces and churches. The Regional Gallery contains works by Caravaggio and others.
Ortigia has a vibrant life with many good restaurants, pizzerias, coffee bars and pubs.
