Located as you enter the beautiful ski bowl of Obertauern at 1740m, Alpinara Mountain Resort and Spa is a three stepped building built in traditional Austrian style. Our apartment has underfloor heating, two bedrooms, a separate fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, bathroom with separate toilet, and a lounge/dining area. It has a generous balcony that affords magnificent views of the mountain area. Access to the slopes is from the rear of the building allowing you to ski in and out of the property, with the main gondola being only 20 meters away. The resort also has a residents only spa facility which includes steam room, sauna, hot tub and shower with changing facilities. There is also a reception area, a breakfast room, and bar. The apartment has 2 underground car parking spaces and a separate ski and boot room. Obertauerns high altitude enjoys a long skiing season from late November to May.

Obertauern is situated about 1 hour from Salzburg, 1 hour 40 minutes from Klagunfurt, 3 hours from Innsbruck, and 3 hours from Munich, at an altitude of between 1740m and 2526m. The village has developed into a world class resort with outstanding winter sports an excellent array of restaurants, bars, and night clubs. The apres ski is exceptional and there are options for all, from relaxed and friendly, to vibrant nightlife with international DJs. Additional information about rental rates

  • A £100.00 non refundable deposit is payable at time of booking. The balance is due six weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of £100.00 is required ( to cover any potential damages) to be paid with the final balance. The security deposit will be returned within 10 days of departure provided keys are returned and there is no damage, you will not normally be charged for small breakages such as a glass, cup etc.
    Discount will be given for stays of more than one week and return visitors.
    The apartment will be fully cleaned prior to your arrival and after departure. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for the apartment.

Notes: The ski bus and taxi rank are situated directly outside the aparthotel. There is also a large ski and boot rental company opposite who will provide your equiptment and servicing needs at a dicounted rate. The apartment is situated approximately 10 minutes walk from the center of town, however there are a number of restaurants and bars located in the immediate vicinity. Transfers between Salzburg Airport and the appartment can be arranged online for reasonable price of 41 Euros return with a reputable company. This includes 30Kg of luggage and 1 pair of skis. The appartment is strictly no smoking.

Obertauern Ski: Situated at an altitude of 1740m Obertauern is an attractive and colourful mountaintop village, surrounded by a superb natural ski circuit. Its high altitude means that Obertauarn enjoys an excellent snow record resulting in a long ski season between late November and early May. The assortment of ski runs cater from beginner to expert off piste which makes Obertauern an ideal choice for families and mixed group levels alike. The superb ski lift system fans out from the center of the village enabling skiers to ski in either direction. Imagine 120Km of slopes without ever having to take your skis off!!. Snowboarders are also in their element with a snowboarding floodlit freestyle park boasting big kickers, rails, VW bully, beginner lines and a fat corner. There is also a half pipe and specialist schools.

Obertauern summer: When the weather warms up there are many ways of soaking up the sun and fresh mountain air. You can enjoy it on foot or bike discovering kilometres of lush green meadows and magical woodlands. The Pollatal Nature Park Is nearby as well as a spectacular castle at Mautendorf. For equestrian fans there are horse riding activities in the summer which can be continued indoors when the weather gets cold. Every week Obertauern welcomes a most charming farmers market allowing you to sample local and regional produce.
