In central Venice a beautiful apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

The apartment S. Tomà is on the first floor of a 17th century palace facing the Gran Canal. The façade and the court yard as well as the roof of the palace have just been restored. The living room is a large open space with 2 windows, from here you can reach the mezzanine with a king size double bed. On the corridor there is the main bathroom and on the back of the apartment you can find the kitchen, the twin bedroom and the second bathroom. The furnishing of the apartment is very refined with many original pieces of the 18th century Venetian hand craft. S. Tomà belongs to the sestriere (quarter) S. Polo, together with the sestriere S. Marco, the most central in Venice. The railway station and the car parking are only 15 minutes walk and all the important historical sights of Venice are within easy reach being the vaporetto stop S. Tomà only 1 minute away from the palace.

S.Tomà is located in the Sestriere (quarter) S. Polo, which together with the Sestriere S. Marco is the most central of Venice. The location is very easy to reach: only 15 minutes walk from the railway station and from the car park in Piazzale Roma. The vaporetto stop is S. Tomà and it is literally one minute away. The 2 main bridges crossing the Gran Canal are at 10 minutes walk: Rialto bridge with its famous fish marked and the Accademia bridge, where a stunning pinacoteque is located with works of the most important Venetian painters. The famous church ai Frari with paintings by Tiziano and Bellini and the School of S. Rocco with the work of Tintoretto are at 5 minutes from the palace. To cross the Gran Canal and reach the other important sights of Venice is very easy, you can do it with the gondola which is 3 minutes from S.Tomà or with the vaporetto which is just out side the palace. But if you like to walk, Piazza S. Marco is only 20 minutes away.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The weekly rate for 2 people is € 1.200,00, but the twin bedroom and the second bathroom will be locked.
    The price includes:  all facilities including central heating, weekly change of bed and bath linen,
    final cleaning and taxes. Should you have rented S. Tomà for 2 or more weeks, the apartment will be
    cleaned on Saturday and the linen will be changed.
    Extra: air conditioning
    Extra bed in the living area: € 20,00 per night.
    Conditions of payment: 50% of the rent is due at the moment of the booking by wire transfer free of bank charge, the other half upon arrival by cash. You are also asked to fill, sign and send by fax or by email the rental and booking conditions form which I will send you if you are interested in renting the apartment.
    Security deposit: Upon arrival we ask our guests to make a security deposit of Euro 250,00 in cash ($ and GBP are also accepted). At the end of the stay the deposit will be returned, unless it has to be used partly or fully for any damage.
  • Number of beds: we cannot allow the number of persons staying in a house to be higher of the number of beds initially stated.

    Arrival & Departure: if not otherwise agreed your arrival is expected between 4 and 7 pm. The apartment should be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure.

    IMPORTANT: arrivals after 9 pm will be charged € 30,00 and after midnight € 50,00.

  • Cancellation by the client: the following rates will apply:
    10% of the total rent will be retained as a handling fee
    25% of the total rent up to 6 months (180 days) before arrival
    35% of the total rent up to 5 months (150 days) before arrival
    50% of the total rent up to 4 months (120 days) before arrival
    90% as from the 30th day before the date of arrival
    Should we manage to rent the apartment partly or fully for the cancelled period we will refund the client accordingly.

Magnifique Palais sur le Grand Canal.Très bien meublé avec goût.Très propre et très bien équipé.La propriétaire Francesca Papafava est très gentille et attentionnée et veille à ce que ses hôtes ne manquent de rien.Nous avons passé un séjour enchanteur et l'arrêt San Toma est au pied du palais.C'est parfait.
A recommander 100%.

This may be the best rentable flat in Venice.

Recently, my wife and I spent two terrific weeks here alternately
[1] doing our part to sustain the Venetian economy and [2] sipping wine while standing at the apartment's windows watching boat traffic on the Grand Canal.

The property was clean, spacious, accurately described on its web page, centrally located [approx. 25 steps from the S.Toma vaporetto stop], and superbly supported by its owners/managers.

I will return here on my next visit to Venice, and I recommend it without reservation to other travelers. What a sweet pleasure to return here following a hard day of touristing and know the security and charm of a lovingly restored 17th century palazzo.

It's a charming, beautiful flat, well worth the cost.
