Built in 1740, completely renovated in 1995 this charm of style apartment, adequately furnished in temporary and (bathroom, kitchenette) modern style is at your disposal. On 35 square metres the comfortable bedsitting room showing with its two large windows south towards the old citadel offers a large double bed, sitting facilities, cable TV and a writing desk. The kitchenette is fully equipped, ideal for self-suppliers. The bath-room in modern style shows as well as the kitchenette with its large windows to the quiet courtyard with its flowerbeds. The apartment is on the raised ground floor. You just turn around the next corner and you are right in the old part of Mainz dominated by the medieval cathedral. Dozens of wine-pubs, small and first class restaurants invite you to relish the famous Rheinhessen wine and food. The Augustinerstrasse and the world famous Gutenberg museum (inventor of the art of printing) are just around two corners.

The town of Mainz is directly situated on the river Rhine and offers a huge variety of tourist attractions. The majestic St. Martin's Cathedral dates back to the 8th centuary, the Stephan's Church with its most impressing Marc Chagall windows, the Gutenbergmuseum, the Roman-Germanic and the maritime museum. Small shops with local handcraft, cafes, bars, wine-pubs, hidden squares with its timber-framed houses from the 15th century. Do not forget the world famous carnival in February. The Mainz citizens are open minded and friendly and in the wine pubs you get easily into contact with them. From here you can visit other parts of Germany: the beautiful Rhine valley (Loreley rock, Rüdesheim) Koblenz, the Mosel river down to Cologne by boat, Heidelberg and its famous castle, Frankfurt, Germany's commercial centre with its sky-scrapers, Frankfurt Airport, Europe's second biggest airport and the smart town of Wiesbaden with its gambling casino, the Rhine music festival.

Perfect Location and Lovely Flat

We were looking for a place to stay near the Altstadt of Mainz where we could park our car and walk everywhere. This was the perfect flat for such a visit! The flat was all we needed to have a good stay in Mainz. We were able to walk or use public transportation to see all the sights. Further, the shopping offered in Mainz was excellent...everything from wonderful boutiques to large apartment stores in the middle of the City. We were also impressed with the great restaurants Mainz has to offer and the cleanliness of the City. The host family were very gracious and were very easy to communicate with before we came to Germany. Thank you for a wonderful stay in such a nice City!

Meine Freundin und ich besuchten die Stadt Mainz und buchten hierfür das o.a. Apartment, welches mit viel Liebe eingerichtet ist. Es ist zentral gelegen, mitten in der schönen Altstadt von Mainz.
Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Danke!

Nett eingerichtet, freundliche Vermieter, in der Nähe alles was nötig ist (sogar ein Tiefgaragenparkplatz). Absolut zentral, dennoch recht ruhig - was will man mehr.
