Charente holiday farmhouse: Puybossard

The property is situated amongst some of the finest scenery in the Charente. The village is surrounded by vineyards with a extensive variety of country walks and boasts its own 'cognac ' producer where a warm welcome awaits and visitors are 'encouraged' to sample the variety of cognac and pineau. Fishing is available at nearby La Touche and a local fishing permit will be required although equipment can be hired. The village is well situated for exploring the stunning Charente region, with the historic capitol of the region 'Angouleme' only 20 minutes drive away, where you will discover restaurants nestling amongst the cobbled streets. Cognac itself is only 25 minutes drive away as is the pretty cognac town of jarnac both on the river charente. Nearby is the 'water Park' at St Yrieux again 20 minutes drive where you will find a man made beach,lake swimming,picnic areas, sailing, fishing and a large outdoor pool with 'flumes' and indoor swimming pool.

The nearest town is 'Rouillac',3 minutes away where you will find the local supermarkets, a seasonal outdoor pool, pharmacy, doctors and Very well priced Local restaurants. On the 27th of every month Rouillac hosts one of the largest markets in France, 'Marche De France' quite a spectacle, where you could buy anything from spices/local produce to a tractor or restored furniture. There is an extensive social calendar with vintage car racing, gastronomic and music festivals details of which are provided. All in All a very well positioned holiday home for exploring this beautiful region and all it has to offer.
