Enjoy your vacation in a small full renovated old farmhouse on a 2 ha. Plot, in calm surroundings with sight to the castle ruin of Paderne. The property with pool and small orchid nursery is located 10 km north of Albufeira. The small farmhouse is the only holyday flat on that property. The original plantation with carob-, olive-, almond-, fig trees and medroheiros had been kept so that the natural surroundings of the wild growing orchids would not be disturbed. Visits from February to April during the blooming time of the wild orchids are very interesting and fascinating. Our two dogs and six cats will love to accompany you when searching for the orchids.

Surroundings: The next beach in Albufeira is 10 minutes away. There are many small bays in the closer vicinity of Albufeira. To the long beach of Falesia and the Marina of Vilamoura with lots of water sport possibilities you need 20 minutes. Algarve Shopping with its numerous different shops is 15 km away. With a hired car you will be able to discover all the beautiful little towns along the Algarve. But also for wandering, hiking and cycling there are a lot of marked tracks to follow. A high number of water parks invite to some fun and wet days during the warm season.

Golf: The next golf courses are in Vilamoura and at the Sheraton Hotel in Olhos de Agua.

Das Ferienhaus hat unseren Erwartungen voll entsprochen! Es ist verkehrsgünstig, aber ruhig gelegen und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Vermieter wohnen im Haupthaus, welches etwa 20 Meter entfernt liegt, und sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Und die beiden Hunde muss man einfach liebhaben!

Von unserem Domizil aus konnten wir alle unsere Reiseziele - sowohl im äußersten Westen als auch im Osten bzw. weiter im Landesinnern - binnen einer Stunde mit dem Auto erreichen. Auch diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren ausreichend vorhanden und ebenfalls kurzfrisitg erreichbar.

Wenn uns einfach nur mal nach Faulenzen der Sinn stand, konnten wir uns auf dem gesamten, riesigen Grundstück ausbreiten - ob uns nun nach Sonnenschein zumute war oder wir lieber im Schatten der zahlreichen Palmen und anderen Bäume, die auf dem Grundstück wachsen, dösen wollten. Es gibt dort viel zu entdecken - auch kulinarisch: Die Mandeln, Feigen, Weintrauben und Baumerdbeeren waren ausgesprochen lecker!

Für Paare und Einzelpersonen insgesamt also eine optimale Unterbringung, wenn man ein wenig ländliche Idylle sucht - fernab von den Hotel-Bausünden an der Küste, aber trotzdem nicht völlig "am Ende der Welt" -, wenn man Hunde und Katzen mag und wenn man einfach mal ein bisschen die Seele in südlicher Sonne baumeln lassen will.

Wir haben eine wunderbar erholsame Woche verbracht. Das Ferienhaus ist gepflegt, gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Vermieter sind sehr charmant, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Domizil entsprach vollständig unseren Erwartungen. Und die beiden Hunde sind richtige Herzensbrecher.
