Loule is on the edge of the golden triangle, within 20, minutes of Faro Airport, several major golf courses, miles of golden beaches, water sports, water parks, night clubs, casino's, discotheques and go-karting. Loule itself is the largest of the Algarves inland towns, it has many good quality restaurants & bars all at very reasonable prices. Loule has its own moorish castle and a working salt mine that at various times of the year may be visited, the town has a daily indoor fish and vegetable market, on Saturdays the local farmers surround the market selling their produce. Also on Saturdays a gypsy market is held on the edge of town. Around the castle walls is the artisan centre where leather, copper and pottery items are produced.
Loule is probably best known for its Carnival (the largest in the country) which is held on the three days before Ash Wednesday and the first Saturday in August.
In June, July & August the are a number of music festivals featuring all types of music
