If it is sun, sand and beach you are looking for, Bosa will not disappoint as there is a wide variety of beaches to visit. However should you be interested in sightseeing and exploring the island, then Bosa is equally a good base to explore from.
The nearest beach is Bosa Marina, a long wide sandy stretch of beach fringed with beach bars, cafes and restaurants. Bosa Marina beach is frequently voted the cleanest beach in Italy. The atmosphere is relaxed and very laid back. You can hire sun loungers and umbrellas, and there is a wide variety of watersports available such as kayaking, kite-surfing, diving and snorkling. You can also hire boats from the marina and explore the coast.
There are many smaller coves and beaches, unusual rock formations and natural pools which are all worth exploring. These beaches however offers no facilities. They can be reached by car and along footpaths or by boat. To name a few Manago, Cala Moro, S'Abba Drucche, Cala Cumpultito, Turas and Porto Alabe.
