Villa Malvarosa is an isolated house built on a sloping land high above the sea. Although the sea is about 30 meters (about 98.5 feet) away below the villa, it cannot be reached from the house due to the high and rocky coast of the area. The villa is surrounded by a large sloping garden subdivided in terraces where you will find olive groves and lemon trees. The garden stretches for 1000 square meters (about 10,764 square feet) from the level of the road towards the sea. Once through the gate, all you will have before your eyes is a vast horizon of blue sea and a stretch of verdant coast due to the lush crowns of olive trees. Amid the crowns of the olive groves and looking down below, you will catch a glimpse of the top terrace of the villa, a large rectangle area enclosed by a blue railing which overlooks the sea and all the scenery around. The house is two-storey high, and floors are connected either through an indoor staircase or through an outdoor path within the garden.

It is 0.6 km (about 0.3 miles) away from Massa Lubrense and about 6 km (about 3.7 miles) away from Sorrento. The bus stop is about 200 meters (about 656 feet) away, and the first food shops and restaurants are seen 600 meters (about 1,968.5 feet) away. In the nearby little port of Marina della Lobra you will be able to rent private boats to go on one-day mini-cruises to Capri and along the coast. From Sorrento you can take ferries to Capri and other islands of the Gulf of Naples, and also to Naples itself, Amalfi, Positano, Salerno, and the coast of the Parco Nazionale del Cilento (National Park of Cilento) to the following destinations: Agropoli, Santa Maria di Castellabate, Acciaroli, Palinuro. By car or by bus, you can leave Villa Malvarosa and arrive in Positano in half an hour. You will be taking a road which unveils breathtaking views at every curve.

A long terrace overlooking the sea and the island of Capri lies before three of the bedrooms. One of these three bedrooms, with a double bed and a single bed, leads to a second balcony with a sea view. The other two, a twin bedroom and a bedroom with three single beds (two of which can be joined together to make a double, if requested), have patio doors leading to the terrace overlooking the sea. The fourth bedroom, a double, has a window looking out on the garden. One bathroom features a bathtub with shower taps while a second bathroom has a shower. A third bathroom, with a shower, is on the ground floor next to the living-room.

Notes: A beautiful indoor staircase communicates the floor of the bedrooms with the living-room, on the ground floor. The living-room is spacious and bright. There are two patio doors which lead to the terrace overlooking the sea and a third patio door leading to the garden. You will find a comfortable living area with a divan bed, two armchairs, a satellite-dish TV, and a table with chairs. Interior is pleasant with beautiful age-old furniture and a glossy handmade terracotta floor. A small corridor leads to the kitchen. You will find a very spacious room partially divided in two areas by a wall. In one side you will find a large dining table and in the other a spacious and comfortable kitchen area. A patio door will lead you from the kitchen to the terrace overlooking the sea. On the terrace you will have a table with chairs to have meals outdoor. In the kitchen you will find a four-burner stove, an electric oven, a dishwasher, a fridge with freezer, and small appliances.

The garden : The garden of Villa Malvarosa will definitely be one of your favorite places to relax outdoors in the shade and feel the perfumes of a Mediterranean garden. You will be able to enjoy perfect peacefulness in a place where the only sounds caressing your ears will be those of the waves of the sea and the birds … A large flat area next to the living-room is paved in stone and shaded by the light and silvery crowns of very high olive trees, typical of the Sorrento Coast. Before your eyes and framed by the leafage of the olive trees is the sea and a picturesque glimpse of the scenery formed by the bay of Marina della Lobra, with its background outlined by the island of Capri. In this area of the garden you will find deck chairs, umbrellas, and little whicker tables and armchairs. In another area of the large garden you will also find a ping-pong table.

The sun-drenched area: An outdoor wrought-iron staircase will enable you to ascend onto the top terrace, which is the great ‘belvedere’ of the villa and also a splendid sun-drenched area of 100 square meters (1,076 square feet). From the terrace you will have a 360º view of the sea and the coast. Particularly fascinating is the view of the bay of Marina della Lobra and the island of Capri, which is seen clear and near you. During limpid days you will feast your eyes on the entire arched Gulf of Naples and the islands of Ischia and Procida. When night falls you will feel like stopping for a moment to enjoy the sunset over the sea: watch out though, for when the sky turns from red to dark blue and all the lights along the gulf are lit, you may become way too romantic …

The beach: The closest beach is the one in Marina della Lobra, about 600 meters (about 1,968.5 feet) away. You can enjoy it free of charge or use services offered by beach establishments therein. Near the beach you will find bars and restaurants by the sea, a picturesque little port, and several tourist activities.
