Enjoy the best of both worlds with this small and peaceful resort in Puerto del Carmen just five minutes from the fun of the Strip and the blue-flag beach. Club Maritima is a small, friendly development in a quiet, residential area close to the beach in Puerto del Carmen. It is a friendly resort of just 25 properties, ideal for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing holiday. There is a heated swimming pool with a section for children, bar and snack bar on site, and a good range of entertainment and sports facilities can be found close by. The pool is lovely - clean and warm and the grounds are well maintained. Many of our guests come back year after year because the apartment gives the best of both worlds - sea front bars and clubs for some and peace and quiet for others. Just a short walk away you can find small beach coves where you can enjoy the sun, sea and sand without fighting for space.

Puerto del Carmen is the biggest and the busiest of the four main tourist areas on Lanzarote and can be found at the central, southern part of the island. It is spread along over 6 km of golden sandy beaches - all flying the important Blue Flag. The surrounding waters are considered to be some of the most tranquil in the Canary Islands and are excellent for swimming and other water sports. While for some Puerto del Carmen means visiting The Strip with its wide range of restaurants, bars, entertainment and nightlife, if this is not for you, Club Maritima still has plenty to offer and is a great base for those looking for a quiet holiday, sitting on the beach or around the pool and relaxing. The quaint and peaceful Old Town includes the harbour and docks, Puerto Tinosa, and is a great break away from the full on entertainment in the New Town. It is also the area where the 'better' restaurants are and can be reached in a short taxi ride from Club Maritima.

Additional information about rental rates

  • In addition to the rental rate there is a refundable deposit of €60 which is paid locally when you arrive and a €10 utility charge that is payable on check in.

    The party leader must be at least 25 years of age at the time of booking and is responsible for making all payments due. We will provide you with a written confirmation either by post or electronically by email. Payment is due at the time of booking by cheque, debit or credit card. There is a 2% charge for credit card payments and a £0.50 charge for debit cards. Full terms and conditions will be provided with the confirmation letter.
  • We request that your arrival details are forwarded to us prior to your travel either by phone or email so that a member of our staff can meet and take you to your apartment.
  • We recommend that you have travel insurance. If you have to cancel your booking please contact us as soon as possible. The day we receive notification is the date on which your booking is cancelled. There is a cancellation fee of £35 per week. Providing it is 30 days before the start date of your holiday, you may receive a refund/part refund.

Notes: In the main living area, you will find a comfortable sofa bed that sleeps two very well and a 27' LCD television with a choice of various English speak channels. There a kitchen with four hob rings, over, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, juicer, coffer maker and all your pots, pans and cooking utensils. Cots and high chairs are also available on request and the apartment has a safe and ceiling fans in the bedroom and living area. The apartment has outdoor space with a table and chairs. The resort consists of two storey properties that blend into the local environment of residential houses. The pool is heated and there is a bar and restaurant on site providing good quality meals if you wish to eat on site - although there are restaurants just a few minutes away

More about the area: If you want to get away from the beach or the pool for some retail therapy, Puerto del Carmen offers some great shopping opportunities. Whether you want to look at the tourist offerings of the main Beach Avenue or fancy something a bit more upmarket in the new Biosfera shopping complex., you will find everything duty free electronics equipment, local arts and crafts through to luxury designer clothes and shoes. And choosing where to eat every evening will not be a problem. There are over 100 restaurants alone on the Avenida de Las Playas. Among the major events that take place in Puerto del Carmen are the Carnival Parade (Saturday, 28 February 2009), Ironman (May), Puerto del Carmen Triathlon – qualifier for the Spanish Championship (June) and the Festival of Our Lady of Carmen (end of July), Some of the reasons the resort is so successful is the lack of high rise buildings, good all year round weather and Lanzarote on the wholeis a clean island.
