Khaya Romantica has 2 huge en suite bedrooms with king size or 2 single beds. You decide what is the most comfortable option for your needs. The bathrooms each have a shower, bath, toilet and basin. The third room is not en suite and has a queen size bed. A fully equipped kitchen and dining room/lounge area opens on to the veranda with beautiful views over the much enjoyed swimming pool. Especially during the hot African summers. A TV lounge with DSTV and video player with lots of movies are also available. This opens up to the lovely balcony upstairs with awesome views over the bush and Kruger in the distance. two sleeper coaches are available for outdoor sleeping on the balcony for the more adventures. A lapa with it's own toilet and shower for making fire and preparing food outside is the perfect setting to appreciate the call of the hyena and the roar of the lions in the evening. Good quality linen and towels are provided for. The lodge is serviced daily.

Secluded and surrounded by the lush African Bushveld is a gem re-discovered. In their search for a smaller luxury lodge the owners of Khaya Umdani stumbled upon this very romantic house. They were instantly seduce by the privacy it has to offer. Consisting out of 2 very spacious bedrooms, each en suite (full bathrooms with shower, bath, toilet and basin) a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge, upstairs TV lounge with DSTV, outside lapa, beautiful swimming pool to relax in during the hot African summer months and a balcony with views over Kruger and the Crocodile River in the distance. Not even to mention the breath taking sunsets!

We recently had a couple friends visit us from the US and decided to take some time up in Kruger. We found Khaya Romantica on a website and were able to book. We found the facilities to be more then adequate. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the open fire braai area was used each night. The bedrooms and bathrooms were large, clean, and welcoming and the balcony afforded some views into the KNP. We were 4 adults with more then enough room.

We were able to book guided tours into the park, which was only a short drive away.

We had visits from local wild life, warthogs, impala, and zebra on our very first day.

The property manager was helpful and welcoming, we were even given a bottle of bubbly as, from what I understand, we had the pleasure of being Khaya Romantica's first guests. First, but definitely not the last. We would use the house again in the future and would recommend it to our friends and family.
