La Gardelle is a detached property set on one level, its convenient location is most appealing for tourists, wishing to explore this beautiful region. The 2 bedroom/2 bathroom accommodation sleeps up to 6 people with an additional large sofa bed available. The enclosed mature gardens are just under one acre, the front terrace is slightly raised with lovely views of the valley, from here you have french doors leading into the comfortable lounge/dining area which has a corner stone fireplace, TV with both English/French channels, CD player/DVD player with a selection of cds and dvds available for your use during your stay. We supply games, books and an information booklet of the area, with a guide of places to see. The large rear kitchen is fully equipped and gives direct access onto the rear stone terrace ideal for barbeques.

The bustling market town of Le Bugue, is the perfect base to enjoy this amazing region, 25 minutes from the medieval town of Sarlat, 45 minutes from Perigueux and 45 minutes from Bergerac. The town has a very popular market on Tuesdays mornings and a smaller food market on Saturdays. There are all amenities in the town, banks, restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets, butchers and bakers. Within the town is the Aquarium du Périgord Noir and the Village du Bournat. Nearby in Audrix is the Gouffre de Proumeyssac and a large waterpark. Just 15 minutes away is Les Eyzies where you can explore the wonderful caves. The area has a wealth of history and beauty with Chateau de Beynac a 20 minute drive from Le Bugue. The River Vezere runs directly through Le Bugue and canoes are available to hire a short distance away, alternatively the River Dordogne is also nearby, both offer amazing scenery.
