Photos and Description of this .5th Quartier Latin holiday apartment Alcove studio, to sleep 3 in the 5th arr. of Paris, close to the Seine.

The studio, located on a tree-shaded boulevard, is a large space, with white-washed walls, oak wooden floors and fireplaces on the 3rd French floor of a 19th century building. The bedroom area is separated from the living room area with bookshelves and it is furnished with a comfortable double-bed and armchairs. The living room is furnished with a large sofa-bed for a third guest, a coffee-table, armchairs and bookshelves. TV, radio, telephone and internet access are provided. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities that will make yours a pleasant stay. The whole studio is very well heated. The building is a typical Parisian building and houses nice and quiet neighbours. If you have a car, a parking garage on the next street, offers parking space by day. If you'd rather use public transportation, the studio is at 5 min walk from 2 metro lines and 7 bus lines, so you are close to many exciting places, the Louvre, the Bastille, the Opera, Montparnasse...

The studio is situated at 10mn walk to the Seine with its romantic bridges, its evening tango sessions in summer, its restaurants on river boats but also with a view of the 21th century Paris, the ZAC Rive Gauche with the City of Fashion and Design (opening soon), a new bridge, the Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir, and a floating swimming pool among rehabilitated industrial buildings, artists'studios and university faculties. After a long day shopping or strolling by, you will enjoy the enchanting Paris Botanical Garden with its tropical greenhouses and its Alpine garden. At night if you choose to have dinner in a very Parisian area, you will enjoy the Rue Mouffetard, its open-air market, its gourmet shops and its affordable 'bistros' and a little farther away, the Butte aux Cailles quarter, less known by tourists, with its little restaurants, its artists'studios and a real village atmosphere. If you'd rather dine at home, you'll find bakeries and groceries all around the studio.

I will be pleased if you do not smoke for the comfort of other non-smoking guests If you are using a car, a parking garage situated in the very next street, open day and night with surveillance, offers parking space by the day at a reasonable price.

During my last stay in Paris, i had the pleasure to live in this apartment, spick and span clean, nicely furnished and well equiped. Furthermore, the landlady is welcoming and helpfull.

Located in central Paris and close to any type of transportation, it is the right place to stay if you want to discover this beautiful city.

Whether for professional or private visit, i strongly recommend it for a vacation.

Obwohl die Wohnung an einem rege befahrenen Boulevard (Bd Saint Marcel) liegt, sind die Fenster erstaunlich gut schallisoliert. Das Appartement befindet sich im 3. Stock; es besitzt einen recht geräumigen Wohnraum (Altbau, allerdings nur den einen). Was ausgezeichnet gefallen hat: man ist absolut ungestört. Für Leute, die während ihres Paris-Aufenthalts zusätzlich am Schreibtisch ihre Arbeit verrichten
müssen, ist es perfekt. Die Einrichtung ist von einem liebevollen
Stil geprägt; die englisch sprechende Besitzerin ist ungemein zuvorkom-mend und hilft einem, wo es nur geht. Außerdem kann sie einem tolle Insider-Tipps vermitteln (ohne dabei die Spur aufdringlich zu sein). Sauberkeit ist hier selbstverständlich und es ist an nichts gespart worden (es gibt Mikro-welle, Herd, Eisschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Waschmaschine). Bei der Schlüsselübergabe war der Eisschrank bereits mit dem Nötigsten aufgefüllt. Telefon, Flat … alles inklusive. Insgesamt – auch wegen der erstklassigen Lage in der Nähe des Gare d´Austerlitz im Quartier Latin – eine rundherum perfekte, zu einem anregenden Stadt-leben einladende Insel. Ich gehe wieder hin!
