Villa Capinere

Date of Stay: October 2009
In October of 2009, my husband and I spent a week at this lovely property. Our host was very helpful in explaining the workings of the house and offering suggestions to us for activities. The description for the property was accurate and we were very pleased with our stay there.
The house was clean and had everything we needed. The tile in the kitchen and bath was lovely and the jacuzzi was great. There is also a washer if u need to do some laundry. There is a grill and outdoor eating space and some lovely trees that provide shade - a nice feature in the summer I imagine.
Located outside the town of San Circeo, the property provided us the opportunity to enjoy both the mountains and the sea. While it was too chilly to swim, we spent time walking the beaches and sitting at the local marina, which had some nice shops and a bar/cafe. We also traveled up into the mountain where the views were amazing.
You will need a car for this property, but from here to the airport it is an easy drive about 1.5-2 hours. We traveled up the coast to Anzio where we went to the small WW II museum - quite a moving experience if you are an American. We also did a day trip to Pompei.
We were able to cook meals when we wanted and there are small grocery stores in town. Half the fun for us when we travel in Italy is absorbing the everyday life!
We visted the Circeo National Park which is an easy drive. If you like nature, this is a great place! We even got to see some live cinghiale there!
The seafood is fresh and there is even a small takeout place that Giuseppe can direct you to, if you want to eat at home.
We would definitely recommend this property. Since we were there in the fall, things were quiet and relaxing. I imagine in the summer things are much busier but we had the beaches all to ourselves!
