This carefully renovated 10th century stone house contains on a raised ground floor 1 cosy living room with fireplace and kitchen corner (3 gas burners, fridge, microwave, espresso machine, etc.), 1 further room with 1 bed and a work table and 1 laundry corner with super comfy shower and separate WC. On the first floor there is 1 further large room with 2 beds (all beds are 120 cm wide for 1-2 persons) and direct access to the large, secluded roof terrace with garden table and chairs, gas grill, fountain-cum-shower, flowers and hooks for the 2 hammocks provided. Guests also have use of a spacious cellar with plenty of space for bicycles, canoes, firewood, wine and other purchases. On top of that there is also a well-maintained, inexpensive laundry service via my local representative who will also do your housework on request.

Bagnols, capital of the province of Gardoise and the start of unforgettable trips, hikes, bicycle tours, fishing trips and canoeing, is in the heart of the famous Côtes du Rhone wine country beside a totally natural cretaceous river, the Cèze. And the Maison du Coq is in the centre of Bagnols, hidden in a tranquil, traffic-free location, but still only 5 minutes on foot from various bakeries, butchers, shops, cafés, restaurants, a supermarket and a market. There are weekly markets worth seeing in Bagnols MI, Pont St. Esprit and Uzès SA, Vaison la Romaine DI, culture and shopping in Avignon 30 km, Nîmes 45 km, Arles 65 km, Camargue (St. Maries de la Mer and – for bathing - Salins de Giraud) 90 km.

Attraktionen hin oder her, ich sag nur: Dachterrasse! Der Grill der Fisch brutzelt die Grillen singen die Sonne geht unter und im Glas leuchtet der wunderbare Wein von der Domaine nebenan. Wirklich und ganz ehrlich... wir wünschen allen eine entspannte, lustige Zeit in den Hängematten mitten in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Sylke, Olaf, Lotte und Frida Reiswig aus Stuttgart. In der absolut ruhigen und malerischen Seitenstraße Rue du Coq - sie ist so schmal, dass kein Auto hindurchpasst - in steinaltem, zeitgemäß restauriertem Gemäuer, lebten wir im Frühsommer 2007 drei Wochen lang wie Gott in Frankreich. Burkhard M. und Tina S. aus Bonn. Als Stadtplanerin bin ich immer sehr begeistert, wenn Menschen es verstehen, Ihre Häuser sanft und geschickt an veränderte Bedürfnisse anzupassen. Das ist Ihnen wirklich sehr gut gelungen. Auch die Möblierung und Küchenausstattung fanden wir wunderbar. Wir haben nichts vermisst und fanden nichts überflüssig. Michael, Leon, Vincent und Mehri
