Exterior - Further Details:
Chalet des Sapins shares a private road with 4 other new chalets and the large natural stone parking area (lower level, suitable for up to 3 cars) is easily accessed when entering from the main road. The chalet and surrounding grounds occupy a large and very spacious 900 sq. m plot on the most elevated section of the land. The result is an unspoiled, panoramic alpine view from the more private upper level, which features a large 40 sq. m. patio /terrace area and a curved natural stone wall that arcs around the chalet’s East and West facades. A full length ranch-style fence also encloses the upper level and provides a natural boundary / barrier (and a little piece of mind to those with children!).
Motion-sensor garden lighting has also been installed to provide easy access at night and to accentuate the stunning natural setting.
Finding Us:
By Air: Geneva airport is the closest major airport (BA, Swiss, EasyJet etc.) and about 1hr 45 mins drive away from Nendaz. Main operators offer a huge selection of flights from major European destinations, with London Heathrow and Gatwick no exception. Winter schedule also available to Sion.
By Car: The drive from Calais to Nendaz is typically 9-10 hrs direct.
By Train: Sion is on the main line between Milan and Geneva/Lausanne with several express services every hour.
Ski:
Situated at the base of Nendaz’s ski resort, our chalet sits on the doorstep of the 4-Valleys, Switzerland’s largest ski & snowboarding area. Conveniently within reach of both the local runs and the connecting lifts to Verbier, there is fantastic choice of piste and powder runs for beginners, intermediate and advanced abilities alike. There are also heli-ski, snowtubing, freeride and snow park facilities.
400 km of pistes, in altitudes ranging from 1,350 to 3,330m, served by 100 cable cars and lifts provide for the perfect family holiday - children's ski centre, crèche, games library, ice-rink and discount rates for family ski passes. For non-skiers, there's more than 90 km of winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country routes. The 3,330 m high Mont-Fort Glacier guarantees excellent snow conditions from November through to April.
Golf:
Six contrasting courses are located within an hour's drive of Haute Nendaz. Crans Montana (home of the European Masters), Verbier, Leuk Seuston and Sion are all 18 holes courses, and Sierre and Cran-sur-Sierre are 9 hole courses. If you are willing to travel a little further, 9 hole courses can also be found at Matterhorn, Source du Rhone and Riederalp.
