Chalet Juniper is a brand new luxury chalet completed in June 2006, situated just 500m away from the La Grande Terche ski lift in St Jean D’Aulps within the Portes du Soleil. Just five miles from the centre of Morzine, Chalet Juniper is ideally situated to ski and explore the entire Portes du Soleil area. During the winter months enjoy skiing on the un-crowded slopes of La Grande Terche, take the nearby Ardent lift (10 minute's drive) direct to Avoriaz with easy access to Chatel and the Swiss resorts, such as Morgins. Or simply drive or take the free bus into Morzine to enjoy the interconnected resorts of Morzine and Les Gets. La Grande Terche is one of 14 resorts that make up the vast Portes Du Soleil region. It has been the venue for the French National ski championships and offers 34km of varied skiing, served by 16 lifts. The summer months sees the mountains full of walking and mountain biking tracks with the ski lifts open for easy access to mountain top restaurants.

The 'family' room has 2 sets of bunk beds, the lower one of which is a small double so this bedroom will sleep 5 if required. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space and upstairs rooms are fitted with thermostically controlled convection heaters. The downstairs bedroom benefits from underfloor heating. Hairdryers (2) are provided. All bed linen is provided but not towels, other than hand towels.

Notes: The chalet is located in a quiet cul de sac. There is plenty of parking with room for 4 cars. At the rear there is a large decked patio which can be also be accessed by an external staircase A barbeque is provided along with plenty of outdoor furniture. The chalet benefits from under floor heating although there are additional convection heaters in each room. A well furnished living area - Dining Table that can extend to accommodate 10. Large en-suite to master bedroom. Well equipped kitchen. 37” Plasma TV with DVD, Playstation 2 and stereo. Luxury sauna. Ski cave and drying room with extra fridge, washing machine and separate tumble dryer. Wireless Internet access. Fantastic views. Table tennis table and other games. Please note: we do not provide bath towels.

Ski: The chalet is only 500m from the lesser-known ski area of La Grande Terche, overlooking St Jean D'aulps. This is a fantastic smaller resort with uncrowded slopes and minimal queues. The resort also forms part of the Roc d'Enfer (Hell's Rock) circuit, being linked to Bellevaux. This is a 20Km run offering magnificent views and unspoilt skiing, mostly on easy reds. The fulol circuit will take you back to the bottom of the La Grande Terche gondola.

Golf: There is an 18 hole golf course in Les Gets, only 15 minutes away offering spectacular alpine scenery including views of Mont Blanc. Avoriaz (30 minutes drive from the chalet) has a challenging 9 hole course with equally stunning views.
