Photos and Description of this Prades holiday house recently renovated, well equipped, 3 bedrooms plus sofa-bed, sleeps 6+.

Old town house with central courtyard situated just off the main square and very convenient for all amenities. Renovated to provide modern conveniences but retains its individual character and charm. It can accommodate 6+ people (2 bedrooms with double bed;1 with twin beds; double sofabed in lounge) and has private parking. Above the lounge is a large sun terrace 30m2 and below is an open cellar with ping-pong. The kitchen/dining room is on the 1st floor; double bedroom, bathroom with wc and separate wc on 2nd floor; 2 bedrooms on 3rd floor and another wc with shower on the ground floor. heating by Electric radiators and woodbuning stoves. A cot and high chair are available but this house may not be suitable for young children or those who have a problem with stairs.Views of Canigou and the surrounding mountains from the upper windows and terrace.Space for a small car in garage and there is off- road parking in front of it.

Prades is a small market town, 45km west of Perpignan,tucked in the foothills of the Pyrenees & close to Mont Canigou. To the East, in the Tet valley, are peach & cherry orchards, olives & vines, leading to the Mediterranean beaches (45min); to the West are the Mountains, with spectacular scenery, caves & warm springs. The town itself has a Romanesque church, overlooking a shady square; cafes & restaurants spill onto the pavements. An excellent weekly market sells local produce. Both French & Catalan influences are seen in its culture, language, cuisine & festivals. Ancient churches & abbeys, picturesque villages & fortified towns reflect the area's rich history. There are nature reserves, mountain lakes & many wonderful hiking trails; the more adventurous may climb Mont Canigou (2785m). Activities include riding, mountain biking, climbing, fishing, canyoning & white-water rafting, swimming, skiing (45min), or you can relax in the thermal baths or spa. Good bus and train services.
