Location: Callington in United Kingdom
The Tamar Valley lies on the border between Devon and Cornwall and offers an ideal holiday location for exploring this lovely part of Britain. Set in a wooded valley and with views over Dartmoor, the houses are situated on a pleasant quiet holiday site near to the small town of Callington. Close to both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, this is an ideal base for walkers. It is also ideally situated for exploration of the lovely Cornish coastline, including Tintagel and Boscastle to the north, and Looe, Polperro and Fowey to the south.
Close by is the beautiful National Trust property of Cotehele, with views from the gardens over the Tamar Valley and the pretty town of Calstock. Slightly further afield and near to the town of St Austell are the lost gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. Plymouth, which lies to the south, can be reached by train on the Tamar Valley line. An interesting cultural centre and the county town of Devon, it offers all the usual amenities.
