Cortijo Jazmin is located in the eastern Costa del Sol between Sayalonga and Corumbela on a spectacular ridge at four hundred fifty meters above sea level extending into the middle of the valley reached via a partly concreted track from either village being less than 30 minutes from the coast and approximately one hour from Malaga airport. Competa with a host of facilities is a 15min drive (11km) Sayalonga amenities include Indian, Spanish and Seafood restaurants and bank whilst the smaller village of Corumbela offers a supermarket, bakery and bars. All three can be seen from Cortijo Jazmin. Inland is the true rural Spain of the Axarquia with its charming Moorish white villages, spectacular National Parks of the Sierras - a perfect location for going to the beach, walking, bird watching, mountain biking, quad biking, horse riding, sea fishing or just lazing by the pool relaxing and absorbing this idyllic location.
Local Amenities:
Sayalonga has local bus services to the coast, Malaga and surrounding areas, shops, doctor's surgery, chemist, bank, post office, restaurants, bars and public swimming pool. The typical Andalucian main square is surrounded by beautiful flowering Jacaranda trees. Panoramic views across to Maroma are breathtaking. Corumbela is closer with basic amenities including bars, small super market and attractive village church with magnificent views across to Competa.
Coast Beach & Special Interest:
Caleta de Velez, a fishing port and the nearest coastal town has good beaches, restaurants, harbour and marina. The coast is approximately 25 minutes drive from Cortijo Jazmin. Adjacent to Caleta is the larger resort of Torre del Mar with its aqua park, beaches and more extensive shopping. Further to the East are beaches at Torrox, Nerja and La Herredora all easily and quickly accessed via the toll free section coast motorway. To the west, again on the toll free motorway or via the coast road are numerous beaches including Nisa, Benajarafe, Hacienda Conde and Ricon Del la Victoria which also has a large shopping precinct.
Inland is the true rural Spain of the Axarquia with its charming Moorish white villages, spectacular National Parks of the Sierras - a perfect location for walking, bird watching, mountain biking and horse riding. Alternatively, of course, you could just laze by the pool
