Photos and Description of this Pescia holiday villa with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and large swimming pool

Ground floor : Large well equipped kitchen with modern appliances. Dining room with large table and chairs leading to barbecue terrace.. Utility room with washing machine and guest toilet. Lounge with TV with English programmes. Bedroom 5 with a double bed, dressing room and en suite bathroom. First floor : Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 are identical and both have Queen size beds with en suite bathrooms with shower. Bedroom 3 is a double or twin bedded room (please advise your requirement when reserving). The family bathroom is just across the landing. Bedroom 4 sleeps two persons comfortably in bunk beds. Outside : Directly in front of the house are lawns with commanding views over the valley below. The swimming pool measures 5m x 10m and is uniformly 1.4m deep and is fenced off from the rest of the garden for the security of guests' children. Pizza oven and barbecue plus outside lights so that the lawns, patio and pool can be lit at night.

Casa Violetta is located in the hills above Uzzano Castello overlooking Pescia and Lucca. It is some 420m above sea level and in the summer enjoys a temperature refreshingly 2-3C lower than the temperatures in the town below. Driving time to Pescia is 15 minutes down a picturesque, well made but winding and narrow road. Driving times to various tourist locations are Lucca - 30 minutes, Florence - 50 minutes, Pisa Airport - 50 minutes, Mediterranean coast at Viareggio about 1 hour, Siena about 1 hour, Volterra about 1 hour. Pescia sits on the river of the same name and is famous as a European centre for flower growing and paper making. It is surrounded by wooded hills dotted with villas (one of which is Casa Violetta). North of Pescia is a region known as 'Svizzera Pesciatina' or Pescia's Switzerland. It is a hilly region with winding roads to explore among the pine and chestnut forests where you'll find restaurants and bars to enjoy in the many villages.

  • During the LOW season only we offer reduced rates for bookings requiring fewer than all five bedrooms. If you only require the use of FOUR bedrooms the weekly rate is Euros 2200. If you only require the use of THREE bedrooms the weekly rate is Euros 1800. Rooms not required will be locked shut. Each bedroom to sleep TWO persons only except for children in cots or fold-away bed. Cots (2) or a fold-away bed are available at Euros 80 per week each including linen. These may be placed in any of the bedrooms but not in the lounge. Under no circumstances may the lounge be used as a bedroom.

Notes: Casa Violetta used to be a functioning olive farm and as such has many terraces in front of the house which could possibly be a source of danger for unattended young children (under 5). However there is plenty of lawned area near the house and around the (fenced) pool area for children to play.
