The Museum of Ancient Art, just 200m away, is well worth a visit; Belem has a historic tower, the monastery of Jeronimo and the Padrao dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries of the 15-16th century explorers); you can also stroll to the characterful districts of Estrela and Bairro Alto.
