In one of the prettiest side valleys of the Moselle you will find the village of Burgen, nestled between the slopes of the vineyards Kirchberg, Römerberg and Burgener Hasenläufer on one side and the forests and meadows of the Hunsrück range of hills on the other side. Burgen's setting is, above all, quiet. Yet, it is still centrally located, only 6 miles from Bernkastel-Kues and 25 miles from Germany's oldest city, Trier. Our property in Burgen is in the middle of the wine region known as 'Mosel-Saar-Ruwer'. The region was named after the three rivers that flow through the countryside. Here the emphasis is definitely on wine and holiday!
