The surrouundings: The National Park Monte circeo:
The National Park of Monte Circeo is an extraordinarily beautiful, natural site that has been preserved since 1934, containing the Monte Circeo, 20 km of superb sandy beaches, four lakes and a forest in its 8,500 hectares (18,700 acres). Recognised by UNESCO as a “World Heritage Site”, the park contains 1,237 species of fauna and 250 species of bird, and wild boar, deer and foxes thrive in the forest. It also contains ruins of Emperor Domitian’s Villa and Lucullo’s Spring,The 1,700 foot Monte Circeo is believed to be the site of Circe and her Sirens, described in Homer’s Iliad: that's why they call it: Ulysses Riviera. There are three lakes just near the seaside. Villa Domiziano dates back to the I Century B.C., lays right on th Paola's Lake, still excavating, extends on an area of over 40 hectares; very interesting is the thermal spa, the enormous water tanks and the bathing area.
The beach of Sabaudia:
This 30 km long stretch of fine sand and Dunes is simply breathtaking. Add to the natural beauty some really world class seafood restaurants on the water's edge, and a sophisticated and full menu of summer concerts and activities.Enjoy biking or walking to some of the beach's “stabilimenti” where you can rent your beach umbrellas and lounges from them by the day. After a morning of sunning, swimming, and beach combing, enjoy lunch right on the beach in one of the open-air restaurants of the coast.In 2009 it gained the BLUE FLAG for the qualityof the sea water which allowed snorkelling around the Promontorio with natural breathtaking views.Running along the coastal road, and having Reached Torre Paola, you come upon a levelled ground road-mender by the bridge of the Roman port-canal. Subsequently, a footpath emerges to the right, marked by signals; it ascends to the peak of Circe, famous for Omer's Odyssey, achieved only after a two hours long climb.

Terracina, Sperlonga, Fondi, Capri, Ischia, Procida, Montecassino, the romanic Abbey of Fossanova and Casamari, the wonderful gardens of Landriana in Tor San Lorenzo. San Felice Circeo is half way from Rome and Naples around an hour by car. Also well connected by train and buses. Historic sites are all around the province. Pompei and Ercolano and the Sorrento Coast are easy getting sites from the property and plus other not listed on officials publications. From April to October daily connection (and in other season twice a week) by ferries to the Pontine's Islands: Ponza, Ventotene and Zanone. Three wonderful island where small motorboats and pedalos may be rented.The coastline offers many secluded bays,grottoes and the transparent water is perfect for snorkelling amongst the fishe. The pretty harbour with restaurants,bars and shops is a perfect heaven. Contacting the local tourist board opportunity to hire a sailing boat and sail privately to the island.
